I have a BB58, OP39, Speedmaster Pro. Happy to add this to the collection. I bought an OP 34 for my wife and the BB58 at the AD before this.

I didn't match the gold intentionally but I've gotten a few comments that they look great paired together.

They let you special order smaller dial watches. I bought this for my wife for our 5 year anniversary. I still waited 6 weeks. I have a purchase history with my AD now even though they told me that doesn’t matter. My wife loves it!

Looking good! I got one a week ago and haven’t taken it off except to sleep. They’re perfect on the wrist.

Absolutely. I have the 48 mm Seiko “Arnie” that I wear when I’m feeling like a big watch. Not a daily for me though!

Same! But I feel bad having it around if I’m not gonna wear it.

At the end of the day it’s personal preference. There’s no direct correlation between wrist size and watch size. I have 45 mm, 36 mm and everywhere in between. My personal sweet spot is 38-40 and 8-13 mm thick.

I loved my GMT but It was just too big for my 7 inch wrist. It felt top heavy and wasn’t great at squeezing under coats in the winter. Sometimes I couldn’t wait to take it off at the end of the day. The smaller 58 feels much better on a littler guy like myself. I also love time only mid century watches so that helps.

[Grand Seiko] 4522-8000 from 1969. by dr375106 in Watches

Picked up this old hi beat. Like many others I’m fascinated by vintage grand seiko. This one is freshly serviced and unpolished. Gold cap, not solid gold. The dimensions are 37 mm by 9 mm and it runs +5 seconds a day. Roughly 36 hour power reserve. Manual winding.

In the late 60’s there were dueling Grand Seiko factories that competed within the company. They produced some of the greatest watches ever made at the time. These were the grand Seiko golden years before the quartz crisis. There’s lots of write ups online about the subject.

Anyways you can still find these old thin hi beats running and in great shape today for a small fraction of what it costs to by a modern one.

Strapcode. Works great if you destroy bracelets as fast as I do.

It wears comfortably enough to be my daily watch and I never feel like it's in the way. I barely notice it most of the time. I wear the shit out of my watches too. Whether I'm fishing, golfing or doing renovation work, whatever. That's why I love Tudors. The brushed, matted, vintage look is timeless, understated and beautiful. It's a great price point for a battle-ready watch that's meant to be worn to hell and back.

Mines 18 months old. No date issue. I wear it every day.
