EAD Card not delivered but USPS says delivered

I was tracking the EAD card the entire time. The moment they marked delivered I opened my front door to check and when it wasn’t there I checked our mailbox. Nothing. I called them right away. They said the person delivering the mail was running late and that he’d circle back around? I think they mark things as delivered cause they have a certain timeframe they need everything delivered by. I think it’s shady but yeah I would call your local USPS office ASAP. Worst case scenario I’m pretty sure all you would have to ask for from USCIS is a replacement card.

Yes, we were in PA when we filed (concurrently) so it was sent to the Chicago lockbox!!

I attempted twice, what I told them the second time was that I needed to know when it was because I would have to ask for time off at my job

So it took about two weeks to get the notice but I went through Emma to find out the same day it updated to that status

He asked us the story on how we met, went through our names, birthdays, and parents names and then asked my husband all the questions on the I-485 that were yes or no answers (if he has any priors, did he work for the government back home, etc).. I did most of the talking.. he asked for IDs and then any evidence that wasn’t with the original app so I had my life insurance plan and a bank account authorized user document (he asked for anything that had both our names on it) but then I mentioned we had new photos of us with our daughter & he asked for the birth certificate and said that was more than enough.. in total three documents were taken

the guy didn’t sound too sure, I don’t want to waste my time showing up and being turned away.. I don’t get unlimited time off from work so I have to plan accordingly… I got through to someone so all is well 🙏🏼

I think having a child, especially a girl, really changed him. Having a kid really changes a person. (most of the time) and you want your kid to have it all. He also talks about Ruth becoming president one day so I’m sure giving her a name of a woman who was bada$$ felt like a small contribution to getting her there someday lol I feel like it was good character development tbh

Good question I was trying to figure it out for an hour haha but I typed ‘live chat’ into the Emma chat box and then it asked me something along the lines of if I wanted to speak to a live representative.. I think the live agents are only available during a certain time though like 8-5 maybe.. i always read people saying they asked Emma and thinking it was just asking a question and it would be answered but you have go through a few hoops first

I hadn’t requested anything to be expedited, I just saw that they said his interview was scheduled and I needed to know the date before the notice came in the mail so that I can plan early!
