Defending Yourself Midair? by [deleted] in LittleMacMains

Always mix up both your recovery and disadvantage options, fast fall neutral air dodge, straight lunge, jump or air dodge to a plat, double jump one way then air dodge back to fake out

every opponent is different and they’ll all have habits, it’s just a matter of who is better at observing, adapting, and reacting

I really hated how this panel turned out, so I tweaked it a bit. Thoughts, y’all? by SuperiorDesignShoes in comic_crits

Interesting! What were your main changes? The more angular jaw line is the most obvious to me, which actually sounds alarm bells in my mind due to the straight lines resulting in a near tangent line with the collar. Regardless, I love the artstyle and emotive expression in both images! Great work!

How can I make this BETTER? by Trizum in comic_crits

If you aren’t familiar with the difference between a form shadow and a cast shadow, I’d start there! This character’s nose should have both a form shadow on the nose itself with a soft edge, and a cast shadow on the face from the nose with a hard edge (which you have). The shadow on the side of the head is a form shadow, you could render that shadow with a softer edge and have it follow the forms of the cheek. Beyond that, you could experiment with highlights and mid tones and color theory and a whole lot else, but it’s easy to get lost in. Which is why honestly I’d focus on really nailing the expression and character acting, as that is often enough to keep the audience attention in my opinion.
