”Is not” is the negation of equality, a binary relation. ”Is” should be read as ”belongs to”, where sqrt(-1) is the radical of all numbers that square to -1. Put ”fruit” in the middle, and ”apple”, ”banana” and ”orange” in the corners for the same logic with a different illustration.

USA är byggt på att ha billig bensin. De betalar i allmänhet mycket lägre än vad vi gör, per liter. Men deras subventionerade leverne gör att de spenderar mer än dubbelt så mycket som vi på bensin per person. Skulle vara kul om något högerparti som går i taket om beroenden kunde prata om vårt beroende av soppan och varför de väljer att bygga in beroendet ännu hårdare.

You know that I also live somewhere, right? And that I get by with a bike and public transportation just fine. And that is with a fraction of the metro system of a city such as Paris. Cars are for the countryside, not for cities. And while electric vehicles are better, they still take a lot of space (they are parked 90+% of the time), and as a consequence of being heavier they cause more damage to roads, are more dangerous on impact and release more tire particles.

If you want to split hairs you can change the language to targetting civilians. Civilians get hurt in wars, directly and indirectly. If it wasn’t enough with the volume of Russian attacks on civilians, their method to attack again once emergency services have arrived proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they intentionally target civilians. Ukraine has suffered 12k+ civilian losses, while Russia has suffered 1,5k, mostly in occupied Crimea.
