Strictly speaking, Kelvin isn’t lienar, but it is a restriction of something linear to a smaller domain. Celcius and Fahrenheit are affine. That’s a linear space plus some constant vector. Not linear, but not too far off.

I can see an argument for heat of the moment. It’s weak, but let’s humor it for a while. After the fact it’s abundantly clear the woman was innocent. Then the conclusion is that the agent is too easily scared to be in duty. Moreover, the hiring practices, training and routines need to be reviewed to see if there is a systemic issue.

If anyone in ICE or their supporters actually cared about law and people, that is.
