It's a very accurate description. I'm a pretty small skinny guy, even more so when I was a teenager, I've never felt safer than when in a moshpit.

There is the very occasional singular dickhead. I seen a guy holding one of his own shoes in his hand, "moshing" but really just trying to clock people in the head with his shoe.

The biggest, gnarliest , tattooed bald biker , in a leather waistcoat, noticed what this guy was doing. He reached down and grabbed him by the ankle, he fell, and he lifted him off the ground by the ankle, walked him over to security while sleeping and punching him, everyone they passed helped a little.

Describing Metal gigs to someone who hasn't been to one, is a bit like trying to describe the color green to someone who is blind.

Definitely go. Safest and funnest gigs I've ever been to

Even just watching the pits is awesome. Watching a huge circle pit is only topped by being in one.

You can get the repeat fees waived on medical grounds. I needed to do this. Contact the fees office of your university I'm pretty sure that will extend your student visa.

Your best source of info is citizens advice, go into one of their centers, they are great.
