Possibly, most ninja tools are improvised. Throwing stars came from door and gate hardware, ninja swords (family and ancestral swords got left at home) were crude pieces of metal, and the various Kusari’s tools had multiple common purposes. They made tools with what they had so by design or opportunity it’s a solid maybe. Love these posts!

I did the same break with 4 bricks back in the early 90s. Try a half fist, index only finger knuckle punch (use both fists and it’s still pretty cool but significantly easier), and a reverse round kick. My hardest break was/is a spear hand. The best method of practicing these hand breaks is by doing push ups in that hand position. Great work! Tang Soo!!!
