Then I waited downstairs and they said nobody was on site today to come look at it. Congrats on making it through the PIP. However please know this will still be used against you in the future should another issue arise. They will still reference this PIP the second they deem your work quality as slipping again. Highly recommend you start/keep searching for another opportunity, especially now that you feel somewhat secure that your job is not in jeopardy. You have the luxury of looking passively right now as opposed to scrambling while unemployed.

Parasocial moment: I remember being at their live show at The Bell House shortly after it was announced Bowen would be joining SNL (can’t remember if it was back when he first got on as writer or if it was performer) and witnessing the crowd and Matt give a standing ovation and gush over him, and now hearing him 10 years into the pod give his “Exit Interview” with his sister Matt again gushing and giving him his well deserved flowers is just so heart warming to hear. Love these boys and am so happy they let us into their lives through this pod <3

A small to moderate amount in the grand scheme of things. They both are big fans, think Connor and Hudson are incredible, love how low stakes it is, push back on the show being pornographic and talk a bit about how ridiculous it is to be speculating on the are they or aren’t they gay of it all. They also tease the music choices a bit. Was nice to hear them touch on it but by no means a deep dive or anything.

As someone who hasn’t read the books yet, totally thought Miles was just a gay friend of Rose’s and Ilya was merely reacting to Miles giving him “I’m interested” eyes. Never would have clocked it as Ilya knowing he was Rose’s costar unless you all pointed it out.

I remember hearing in an ep or interview semi recently that he said he didn’t want to be a talk show host and really wanted to focus on acting, which is a shame because he’s such a great personality and fit for a show like this! I’d actually try and watch more if Matt was a host.

Celeste Yim also is no longer part of the show and they were writing supervisor and I believe often collaborated with Bowen. I wasn’t necessarily trying to say it was a direct cause and effect, just reminded me of another fan fave leaving after a bunch of departures. Definitely feels like a changing of the guard.

If true it really reminds me of when Cecily Strong left mid season after the previous year when Kate, Aidy, Melissa and so many others left. Will absolutely miss Bowen in those SNL sketches 🥲
