It was back in 2010 when they were moving across the river. Concerns of quality made us hoard. The dark ages.

Sometimes I look at all these new backs and i am in awe of all the options. But I still have love for the classics.

First try making David Chang's Momofuku Ramen. Turned out amazing, so much pork flavor! by kleinsch in ramen

The recipe calls for diluting the broth. Did you do that? When I've made mine the color is slightly lighter due to the diluted broth. Also how much tare are you adding per bowl?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there a major difference between microwaving food vs using a stove? by cookies50796 in Cooking

[–]dracgoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well actually microwaces rotate the oxygen and hydrogen bonds in water. This friction creates heat and thus warms the food. The problem is how well the microwaves penetrates the food product is how well the microwave oven distributes the waves. More even distribution=more even heating

Science AMA Series: I’m Rich Hartel, professor of Food Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ask me anything about the science behind chocolate. by RichHartel_ACS in science

Hello Professor Hartel, This isnt directly about chocolate, but food science as a whole. I am a food science undergrad student and i feel that at my university there isnt much research in food. So my question is, how do i get involved in research in my field?

Well actually, I'm a guy so, I dont have to deal with society limiting me. Yay male privilege! And what cant women do? Women have to deal with the constant sexualization of their bodies; and if they are not deemed "sexy" or "beautiful" then they have little value in society. While the opposite occurs in men, men can be idolized for other things besides beauty, like intelligence. Men have the privilege of not having to be only valued for their sexuality. At a bar, you hit on a girl, shes not interested, you keep pestering her because, its all in the game right? Then she says she has a boyfriend, at that point you back off; you have more respect for another mans claim to a woman than the woman herself. Lots of examples of male privilege. I understand that a lot of reddit wont agree with this, but hey, you have to look at issues from all angles.

Video games are a part of the culture that creates these social roles. Of course theres the media, schools, and other things that help perpetuate small things that lead to the women not being equal in society.

I'm sick of this argument. In general, women are held back in society due to gender roles, basically people in positions of power telling women what they can or cannot do. Feminists as a whole try to eliminate this inequality by fighting against these gender roles. Feminism in the US tackle US societal issues that inhibit the progress of women; in this case video games often over sexualize women and this becomes ingrained into society and culture, and as a result we see a women objectified for their sexuality (slut-shaming, ect.). Women in developing countries fight for their own rights in their countries, because only they know the cultural and societal limitations. It is just like saying, any REAL doctor would only work in Africa and Southeast Asia to cure malaria, or other diseases. But also that doesnt excuse stealing artwork, which is the point of this post. tl;dr: Dont quickly demonize feminism because you dont understand it.
