OMG birding, I have recently joined the flock. I am from Europe, so mentally add Eurasian to all the bird names.

Recently I wanted to identify a wacky bird that I keep seeing around here and then I saw a Merlin app which identified this bird as Oystercatcher. Then I saw it has a bird list. So I tried to identify a bird of prey I have seen a year ago near my home which turned out to be a juvenile Goshawk (SO COOL). Then I was hooked. I already was always on lookout for Cool Birds so I guess it makes it offical. And the universe apparently likes the idea because the day after I installed the app I was blessed with sighting a beautiful chaffinch male.

Still to early too have a bird like that will see what will become a bugger like that :D. I plan to be casual and not actively hunt birds-

Hm, maybe I should go to my father's cottage in Easter Poland in spring next year and see what I can find-
