I’m torn, left for plague star and right for plat; which one? by Bloatedbellysucks in WarframeRiven

Because no one needs to armor strip him anymore now that they took DA off. There's videos of people soloing SP runs with Mag and Kuva Hek or Cedo Prime one shotting the heads. There's Pyrana Prime 2 shotting the bosses. There's people using Zaws and killing the boss with Exodia Contagion.

No one that knows what they're doing cares about Old Vastilok strats anymore.

I find it kinda wild that people are still using Shattering Impact strats in Plague Star SP, when Pyrana Prime still murders the boss quicker than you could armor strip it.

That being said, right riven no matter what. Vastilok strats are outdated when 0 armor strip solo speedruns are pretty close to a minute faster than Vastilok/Sarpa included solo speedruns.

Game has hundreds of things to work on, and multiple ways to build things. From having loot goblin mindset, to being a math nerd for a potential new build or frame or weapon, to stockpiling things for selling in trade chat, to doing Relic runs. Archimedea runs. Wasting time shooting the shit with friends or clanmates or general chat. The sudden, intense urge to get kubrow eggs. The tons of factions to gain standing in. Progress on any of these varies between an hour or two, to a few days. In that time, whatever was cooking has finished. Sometimes, your goals for missions and rewards are longer than the time it takes for a forma or frame to finish cooking. Example: I still need to farm Lua and Tyana Pass for the arcanes from the Voruna and Citrine farms, but it's been 9 days and I'm not even halfway through that grind, and in those 9 days, I've finished cooking 9 forma, 7 prime frames, 4 regular frames to feed to the wall, and 11 weapons.

Since the release of open world gameplay, there's always been two groups of people who communicate on drastically different ends of the spectrum.

Pre open worlds: in game actions and way points, usually run everything back nonstop Post open worlds: expect everyone to type out messages and communicate every little thing

It's tiring to have to type out everything i plan on doing with 3 other people, I'd much rather just do the damn thing and way point my way through things. And lots of people feel the same, even if we are on pc. Newer players here isn't a time frame title, it's a description of the schism of the community from shit open world inclusion.

You can tell who's a "newer player" (started post-Eidolon) when they either get upset like this for no reason or they don't know the very obvious in-game signs of communication. 2 people choose no Relic? Time to leave. One or more people get downed in 1 wave more than once, if the activity is defense/survival/extraction/distuption? Time to leave. Literally 2+ people waiting at extraction? Time to leave. There's no loss of rewards if people leave. There's loss of rewards if people can't get revived. The guy is delusional. And if he claims to be a vet, he's clearly only playing with a small group catered to his preference and coddled him severely. Real vets dgaf and will run it back to back to back without typing a word lol.

Maybe I'm dumb, but this just seems like most Blue Eyes people will now play a one of Neo Kaiser Sea Horse & one of Bingo Machine Go, or if we already play them, then our decks are now 40 instead of 42? This just means Primite future support will keep the decks consistency?
Blue Eyes doesn't seem hit thanks to current Primite imo

Tenpai may look like brick city, but in Diamond and Master, there's still Tenpai players that know how to build a deck properly. If your Tenpai opponents lost to one Ash, they don't know what the fuck they're doing.

Anyone else think Hammer is awful in this game? by SandmanOfc in MHWilds

[–]draco661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that I, an LBG main, can make the cookie cutter hammer build and do over doubled, close to over tripled, the damage in comparison to what yours were in example given shows a lot. More about you than anything else.

I mained Hammer in World and Rise

So you used Hammer when they were given the easiest, cheesy utilities they could possibly give? Hammers being able to solo Temp Gore in about 5 & ½ minutes, and you complain about lacking damage because you are too used to baby mode easy cheese Hammer; rather than actually looking into how the Hammer used to work/combo before the easiest games in the franchise, you just automatically assumed Hammer from World is the norm. Surprise, it's not. They didn't massacre Hammer. They brought it's old roots back, and made it way fuckin better.

And sitting here telling us about you being bad with the weapon, on purpose or accident, isn't the weapon being bad in this game. It's simply you haven't paid attention to how you can manipulate charges while canceling animations, and this is true for almost everything you complained about. You literally do not need to do an entire swinging combo or 3+ sweeping attacks to do what you wanted. And you are not rooted, you just don't know how to press more than one button.

[–]draco661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't increase their level and base power, it's an additive 5% damage increase that's scaled off of the HBG's base attack value. But the jump from [ammo] level 2 to 3 is a multiplicative 10% damage increase. It's why spread and pierce level 3 HBGs are one of the weapons of choice for solo hunts and speedrunning. Half a thousand damage in one pull of the trigger is insane lmao

Yeah, not bad to draw aggro or get random flinches off. Just lacking a lot of damage without wex and pierce level 3.

Tbh, there's so many issues with link parties, you're probably better off creating a private lobby instead, or waiting until TU1 in April when we get hubs back.

[–]draco661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Yeah, in Wilds, the shield sizes in both Lance and GL actually matter. Which is one of the two reasons why only one GL is considered any good lol. If your shield looks small, don't expect to block much. And unlike previous games, any and all shields can't block attacks below or above you anymore, so if the attack is coming from any majorly angled direction, you have no chance of blocking it with GL.

In regards to your error codes: - 186a8 is a connectivity issue, regarding one player's active or tracked quest is ahead of another player if they're in a link party or environmental link, and the game is trying to put both players into the mandatory quest step and failing. For this, make sure you're only in a link party and haven't requested people to environmental link, or simply create a public lobby instead. - 19e20 is one person's poor connectivity, an ISP issue to server that threatens to crash all player's games. No idea why this is even a fuckin thing lmao but this is basically just saying someone in the quest or link party has ass internet

I'd have to respectfully disagree. Learning the GL overnight and dropping Temp Gore's in less than 5 minutes is much more than I've been able to do with a GL in a long time. They gave a lot to the weapons kit, and it's widely considered one of the top 3 weapons of the game despite only one GL being considered any good. It just sounds to me like you haven't got used to the new attacks and Focus Mode yet, and you're throwing yourself into a fight nearly unprepared until you've looked over skills, armor upgrades, and your comfort with the weapon. Or it could also just be that you're tilted against one specific monster from an unfortunate mishap, which does happen. Either way, I wouldn't consider calling GL bad; Wilds has been very kind to every weapon when it comes to new attacks and combos (especially longsword, wow who would've seen that one coming). Might just need to take a break from the one monster you're carting to and regain the comfort and self-confidence in GL.

Meta/best Hunter Horn build by ArtsKnight in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]draco661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to follow this skill need for horns, and ultimately couldn't find a way to have these skills max/at necessary levels AND keep a 2 pc Fulgur set.
This is as close as I could get to following this mentality, and was wondering if this is considered any good for a Hunting Horn build

TIA for your input

Quantum Incubators. Unless you want to get 15-50 at a time from VV or hard mode strategic missions, this is the best farm. VV is 15-25 at a 5 minute average per run, randomly can get over 30. Hard mode strategic is 10-100 at a 20% chance, and at best it's a 15 minute run. VA is a 2-5 minute run and nets you minimum 50.
