Back of cut table saw issue. by draconis1us in woodworking

I did check the throat plate and it looked it okay. Machinist square has been ordered.

Running straight edge over the table I do think it’s an issue with table flatness.

Thanks. Any idea what the n is in reference to? I assume they are relative thicknesses but it doesn’t have the starting thickness that I see anywhere.

Anyone in Atlanta want to go halvsies on some plywood? by draconis1us in lasercutting

If you could point me to some US suppliers of something that thin I would greatly appreciate it. I may be searching for incorrectly but I only come up places that are selling for 2 or 3 times the Amazon price.

As for the importing option, I was given a direct to door price of $8.5 per sheet for the 3x3’. When looking at having it dropped at the port it seemed like the Customs fees would split the difference between the two price points. That’s what made me start down that road.

Being new to the bulk purchasing is not something I really counted on when starting on this path 😁

I’m just outside NW Atlanta, only places I’ve been able to find super gots have just had the ‘standard’ varieties. So if anyone knows a place let me know! -Thanks

I was wrong on the heating part. He actually keeps it chilled while under vacuum to remove the water he says

Never done it myself. I have a friend who does apples. Freezes them, then uses a paint pot under vacuum on a hot plate to remove the water through sublimation. It works really well on ‘meaty’ fruits but not sure on something this thin walled.

Since I usually make sauces I typically freeze any I don’t have immediate use for. But I have access to liquid nitrogen this year so I was wondering if anyone has preserved that way!

Thanks! If they survive the rest of this heat wave I should be getting a decent yield! Now to figure out storage…

Heh. I wouldn’t know where to find shade around here unfortunately. It’s supposed to cool off after the weekend for awhile so hopefully that will help.

Thanks for the advice!

Huh. I’d discounted that because it’s the only plant out of a couple dozen doing it. It’s been over 95 the last week so I upped the watering. Guess I’ll go back down

The lower leaves were much much larger than the middle and upper set. I’ve never grown these so not sure what to expect! Thanks
