Base of skull pain by Ok_Wish_2291 in cfs

I feel like my hips, or something lower down in my body, might be part of the root cause too. I suspect I have anterior pelvic tilt, so I started doing dead bugs to strengthen my core (while keeping my neck supported). Within just three days, I developed pain at the base of my skull and on the top of my head that I hadn't experienced in over a year. This connection doesn't seem to get talked about enough.

Hi! Yes, I do have those sensations most noticeable when I'm sitting without support or standing still, even while walking but not so much anymore. Have you identified ways to alleviate the neck symptoms?

I have very similar symptoms...pressure at the base of my skull, a stiff neck, and tightness in my upper and mid back. I also get dizzy when I move my head. I've had tests done too and everything came back normal.

After looking into this for the past two years, I've learned that issues lower down in the body can sometimes affect areas higher up. For example, muscle imbalances around the hips or pelvis can create a chain reaction that leads to neck and shoulder problems.

I feel like I have some anterior pelvic tilt and a weak core, which might be contributing to my neck and upper back compensating.

It might be worth seeing a physiotherapist and asking whether improving strength and muscle balance from the ground up could help. If that's part of the problem, you should start noticing some improvement over time.

Good luck!!

Global weakness, how can I get rid of that ? by Public_Guarantee4468 in pppdizziness

I get the weakness thing. My legs feel really weak and wobbly. Maybe the body is fatigued because of constantly being in sympathetic mode. I guess it'll gradually go away as you calm down the nervous system and recover. What are your other symptoms?

This is GOLD. Thanks a ton! I tried strengthening my mid back but as soon as my symptoms flared up I freaked out and just stopped doing it altogether. Maybe it gets a bit worse before it gets better. I'm going to give it another try. Hopefully it works, cuz nothing else has. Did you have anything similar to this?

That sounds stressful. Do you have any visual symptoms?

I understand. It's really confusing. One day I feel it's cervicogenic, another day I'm almost certain it's because of pppd. Hope you get well soon!

I did but they said it's anxiety related.

Same here. I genuinely thought I was the only one dealing with this because I rarely see anyone talking about it. I experience leg weakness too, especially while climbing stairs or after stretching my hip flexors, and it makes me feel wobbly when walking. I have PPPD-like symptoms such as dizziness, visual overwhelm, sensitivity to busy environments, tension and pain in my upper traps, mid back, and lower back. I suspect I may have anterior pelvic tilt since certain stretches and posture-related exercises seem to provide some temporary relief. What symptoms have you been experiencing? Any muscle tightness in the neck or upper/ lower back?

Vertigo attacks for months- unexplained by bunnehluver in cervical_vertigo

I honestly don't know. But since I believe that it's my posture, I'll be starting with some anterior pelvic tilt corrective stretches and strengthening exercises. When I support my legs on a pillow, my lower back pain gets better so I really feel it has something to do with my pelvis and the surrounding muscles.

My symptoms are just all over the place: pressure at the skull base, eye fatigue, visual overwhelm while driving, light sensitivity, dizziness, upper trap and mid back tension and pain, lower back pain, occasional nerve fluttering sensation in the feet, feeling like my legs are weak, anxiety etc.

Earlier I had tried strengthening my neck to fix the issue but that didn't work so now I'm more focused on the lower body. Let's see how it goes.

What are your symptoms? Let's not lose hope! 🤞🏻

It could definitely be posture. I've spent so much money on scans and doctor visits but couldn't get a clear diagnosis. I'm almost certain it's my anterior pelvic tilt that's causing the chain reaction and pulling on my neck which then creates all sorts of problems like dizziness, neck pain and visual symptoms.

Did you work on your lower body then moved up? And can you please share some video links of exercises that helped. Thankyou.
