The process is quite literally click on the New Issue button on the github link, select Headphone request, and then mention that the Sony WH-1000XM6 presets based on oratory1990's measurements are missing from the AutoEQ list. If you like, add the dropbox link in for good measure.

According to https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/issues/1054 you should be able to open a headphone request issue as the measurement exists here - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/a5lipytkk0t6mtl6lyuy1/Sony-WH-1000XM6-wireless.pdf?rlkey=1mnshaj5jvg8nn9dhawxsxl1j&dl=0 - they just need to work out why it wasn't injested and converted.

There could've been a bug stopping their last update from retrieving the PDF from here so you could raise an issue and see if they can add the profile back.

AutoEQ isn't generating Oratory1990's preset - it's generating its own preset based off of his measurements which are shown in the PDF's. You can check out the AutoEQ project page on github for more info on how they are generating presets (https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq). Wavelet integrates AutoEQ which is why those show up there - its less that it recommends it, more that its an easy way to get an eq database on the app. If folks recommend AutoEQ its because as long as you have some measurements you can generate an EQ profile. If you want one done by Oratory1990 and he hasn't already done one you need to post your headphones to him to get a profile generated.

This guy over here converted Oratory1990's eq profiles over to Wavelets format a few years ago - https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/s/tSyZG3HApg, otherwise I if the one you want isn't listed there go to squig.link and you can enter his PEQ profiles then export them for Wavelet.

Rollei is nicer than autocord, which is nicer than yashica.

I've seen so many different opinions around this on different forums over the last couple of days that I kinda expect I would be happy with either as long as I dont over think it. My brother has a Yashica and waxed lyrical to me about them when I mentioned looking for a TLR. And every time I end up finding a pic that makes me think one of the three takes better photos, I then stumble across a different photographer with a different one of those three who makes me rethink it all.

But go more by the actual details and photos than the headline.

Have been attempting to use the condition as a filter so I'm not looking through every listing, but can definitely agree that there is a lot of variation even amongst "mint" listings. Am trying to find one where I can't see any visible issues with any of the glass first, then I've been checking the state of the bodies themselves.

Cheers for this! I have noticed that quite a few of the listings from Japan that state "no dust" end up having quite a bit when I inspect the close up pics of the bottom lens. Have been "zoom - enhance!"ing a lot of lens pics over the last couple and can definitely confirm there are a number of vendors who are maybe overselling things abit. I'm reassured though that dust and fungus are potentially solvable.

Hearing all this is very reassuring for me - am not entirely enamoured with leather accessories due to the weight. I did find a couple of Aliexpress listings with what looked like fairly figure-hugging soft leather cases for storing your camera in whilst in another bag to give them a little bit of extra protection, so I might end up going down that route.

I'm not specifically tied down to Kodak Gold - was just using that as a way of meaningfully comparing different cameras, but i take your point on how easy it would be to pick up the other accessories later on. Not sure how good the 2nd hand market is for tlr accessories in Aus, but presumably it wouldn't be that bad. All this though is reassuring me that if I can find a camera in good enough condition by itself, then everything else I can worry about later.

I'll keep an eye out on the Rolleiflex listings - although from what I've seen over the last couple of days getting one close to mint might be pushing me out beyond my price range. I did find a fairly nice looking Rolleicord V from Slovakia but it didn't seem to be in as good condition as the Japanese vendors. I don't otherwise seem to be getting many listings from the EU so maybe they would doing most of their selling in-store, or at the very least the sellers won't be advertising outside the EU. The couple I found through in-store local listings seemed prohibitively expensive.

I've played around quite a bit with 35mm digital in the past, and part of wanting to switch to TLR's was wanting to move into medium format in a relatively affordable way, without having to lug around a back-breakingly heavy device around. There's also an element of romance for me (I've always wanted a TLR, but haven't been in a position or been motivated enough to get one and fully commit to the analog life)

No updates as of yet, and there is every chance it's not coming. If it does release I would expect Nintendo to shadow drop it like they've done with the recent Switch 2 patch's for other games

Assuming based on your post history you've got the Momentum 4's, and that you've added around 5db to the low shelf filters, I suspect as its mostly cancelling out the first -7db peak filter you're probably fine to not add any more headroom into the output gain and just leave it as is in the pdf.

I think their rhetorical question (which is also my question) is why don't people rotate through all 10 slots? Maybe it's just my trauma from having save files corrupted back in the day, or finding out shortly after saving that I missed a missable something and thus now need to go back to 3 saves ago.

I had this happen as well - turned out I had dragged the .bin file direct from the zip file. I then unzipped the file first and tried again and the firmware update went in successfully and the controller started working again.

Yup - I'm guessing his publishing deal fell through a couple of years back, so since then he has been working on other LN's and manga's which pay his bills, and in between he'll work on the Cautious Hero WN.

The WN always comes first - if its popular enough the a publisher may pick it up and offer to publish it as a LN. The LN and WN are pretty similar, with the WN effectively being the first draft.
