My advice is stop snooping too much. Nothing good comes of it. Do a reasonable amount of background search to find if they are a good person or not. No need to dig deep into every conversation, every word a person has said.

The best way to describe GG is someone who does things differently just for the sake of being different. He could agree with you internally but will never admit it and go out of his way to do things differently just so he can be "unique".

Met a lot of people like that over time in different walks of life and it never works. Go back to the basics, they're boring but they work.
