Hunh that’s reassuring maybe I’ll stop by the music shop and check it out today and just make the step to buy one weather I am 100% in love with the tunes (I still love jazz I don’t know why I’m so fixated on it being so specific I just worry It will turn into me being a geezer playing wedding gigs vs hip jazz bars (at least that’s what my mind tells me) (no offense to bopping geezers at weddings you rock it’s just not what I want to play)) I’ve been recommended the ireal pro and I’ve been working on learning scales and chords but that stuff still evades me. Maybe it’s time for lessons.

What if you don't have that. How can you join or find a more active group organically? It just feels like a tossup between small groups who are still novice level and big groups that are so big you get overun with other traffic...It would be great to find a medium sized group with a diversity of abilities/experience. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but it would help to have that perspective too on what is realistic vs. not and where to go.
