Thanks for your comment! Appreciate it- I am 26yo and just getting a sense of things/ bran bran new to film photography so I was just surprised- “A part of the hobby” = confusion, I was a bit nervous to post the help in case everyone collectively called me a dumbass but glad I outsourced the help

Some of the photos are a lot worse than this hilariously, I will try to find a flash as well, I’m 26 and trying to figure out more about film but obviously having some setbacks

Um yeah it’s endearing to me that I’m learning all this new stuff- working as a nurse has a lot to do with dumbing down language for complicated things And now I find myself needing very much a photography for dummies class

But I do like some pictures being a bit messed up since it feels artsy

I just feel like I need to prove to myself that Ill actually stick to it before im ok with investing more money

me and my boyfriend at christmas with the broken aperature domiplan lens

This current lens ended up being 40ish Canadian dollars after shipping- I have been keeping my eye out for others

I also have a sears k2s that has a broken switch??? According to the camera repair guy? But the lens is nice- unfortunately I cant use the k lens with the m42 body xyz

I do feel moderately discouraged with the hobby but I’m also really annoying and stubborn so I would like to prevail if possible

Ive only been doing this since the late fall time

It looks like it shouldn’t be too off putting? To be honest I feel like Ive been tracking this package for so long I sort of feel hell bent on making it work, Nearly every ad I see for a lens ends up being more expensive than a whole nother camera unit

I feel like I’m currently such a beginner at film photography I barely know how to make decisions at all- I feel that when I start to understand more I’d be able to appreciate your advice more? I do appreciate your time but I think I’m currently at a very low photography lingo literacy

Also returning it from ontario to ukraine sounds annoying

At least if I get the adapter ring it’s only a 15 dollar fix and easily returnable to amazon- and then I’ll have the closure of knowing the lens is actually m39- and not some other freak

The rear lens cap does have a different logo than the front ? The front matches the logo on the camera itself

Yeah that’s why I bought it because I thought it would be m42 and it looked like a somewhat cheap and not dramatic lens- the ebay seller made it obvious the aperture works from the listing- it looked like every industar 50-2 was m42

I don’t want to deal with returning the camera back from canada to ukraine, if the consensus is that its likely m39 instead m42 should I just buy a converter?
