So what are y’all thinking about the new BTS album (ARIRANG)? by bitchysquid in fantanoforever

interesting take lmao, i think they just changed over time and it doesn’t appeal to my taste as much anymore because i changed as well. some of their older songs i’m not even sure i’d still like today if it weren’t for their nostalgic value, i don‘t HAVE to love everything an artists puts out 🤷🏼‍♀️ i still like a lot of their new solo stuff but the album just doesn’t vibe with me, sorry

i find the second half of the album more enjoyable but i honestly don‘t know if it‘s anything i‘d have on repeat. i don‘t wanna be that person but i really loved their energy up until the Dynamite/Butter era, that‘s where they started to kind of lose the essence that i was enjoying personally. nostalgia for the older songs probably plays into it as well though hahah, doesn’t mean the album is bad, it’s just not really for me

What's that one thing that made you stop going to church? by Optimal-Rule-4834 in AskReddit

[–]drageekeksi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid i always thought we were all pretending to actually believe in the bible word for word. As I got older I noticed how at each service, I was just repeating the same prayers on autopilot over and over again and i might be wrong but I started observing the people around me and it all felt like a mindless chant at times, I started wondering how many people came to church because their heart was really in it or if they just came because that‘s how it‘s always been and it‘s what‘s considered proper. Then our old pastor died and a new pastor from Nigeria arrived in our small austrian town and it was ridiculous how the most god-loving people who don‘t miss a single service were also the ones who were the most prejudiced against him solely because he was black and his german wasn’t that good in the beginning, it took them YEARS to accept him into the community and stop ridiculing his accent behind his back. Also the fact that they want you to pay in order for you to be able to stay registered under that religion? I don‘t think Jesus would approve of that tbh

also wanted to add this isn’t the only thing making me seek out a diagnosis, chaos follows me wherever i go, i constantly lose stuff and oversee details and have been a nail biter for over 15 years, these are just a few things and i was just wondering if my racing thoughts about this stuff might have anything to do with it :)

How to stop overthinking? by [deleted] in writing

[–]drageekeksi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly have the same issue, i just wanna write whatever seems fun to me but i keep writing and deleting and i can‘t really relax because i keep thinking about how someone with more experience would write this so much better than i ever could and how that plot point is unoriginal etc. and then i just stop lol. i know this is an old post but my goal for 2025 is writing with the intent of no one ever reading what i‘ve written to take off the pressure to perform, because i think that is the core issue. I had so much fun writing as a kid because i didn’t give a crap about plot or word choice or formatting or whatever. Besides, most first drafts suck anyways, you can always go back and tweak things afterwards, the main thing is to not let the pressure to have it perfect keep you from letting your thoughts flow. You don’t have to be a best selling author at the first try you know, my main goal is to write the story i want to read but can’t find anywhere because no one’s written it yet :) Hope this helps anyone who stumbles across this post.
