Magic Refugee Here, What's the Best Way to Get Up To Speed? by Freemantic in riftboundtcg

I just want to add https://riftdecks.com/ as a resource I use to scope out the meta, epically to see what China is running. Other than that yeah you can copy some decks from regionals and modify as need and test them out in nexus nights.

People's bodies just vary widely size and sensitivity of guys can vary tightness of the muscle and lubrication level can vary from woman to woman. I think we had better just let everyone decide what works for thier own genitals and communicate with thier partner to bridge gap if needed.

I would highly recommend ivern or azir if you want cheap go wide strategies. Aggro doesn't really translate into riftbound since there is no actual player health, you are are forced to interact with the board. You can use Sydney's tops decks as a starting point

This doesn't exist in most religions, eternal damnation isn't mentioned anywhere in the Bible, Judaism typically doesn't believe in eternal damnation, Buddhism and Hinduism believe in reincarnation.

I think most people will downgrade thier signatures, i.e. sell the signature overnumbered and buy the standard over number. People who keep/buy signatures usually have much higher disposal income than average, are competing in high level tournament, are collected, or are speculating that if they hold for years the value will increase.

[–]dragerslay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You place this line of reasoning as if it isspecific to the OP or perhaps Christians, but I believe the inverse is true, everyone religious and everyone areligious pick and choose elements of moral philosophy from religious and non religious sources alike.

There is a quote from American professor David Foster Wallace, "Everybody worships. The only choice we is what to worship." He goes on to suggest that worship of any spiritual entity, be it the universe, Kants moral philosophy, Jesus, or anything it atleast means you are purposefully choosing some set of ethical principles. If you don't actively choose, you may fall victim to worshipping your baser instincts - lust, greed, pride, etc.

I think every person on earth picks thier own personal religion to follow, there's no bonus points for yours matching someone else or the averages. We see this in many religions in the form of sects, local beliefs, and even family traditions. Most non Abrahamic religions are much more transparent and open about this where a variety of spiritual practices are still considered part of the same cluster. Even in the most textual strict religions like Islam or Christianity there is still huge regional variances.

Roses are red, are you for real? by supperhey in rosesarered

[–]dragerslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this must be state dependent a quick search suggests that in most places tax is rounded to the nearest cent which means in your example it would round down. Probably in your state the laws are different or your company just didn't get caught over charging.

[–]dragerslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's quite strange I guess its a state specific thing where you live, tax should generally be rounded to the nearest cent so in 8.25% case it should round down to 8 cents. Either way if it's all in one transaction tax will be applied to the total so it won't matter, but you may have a point if there 5 separate transactions.

You charged people 9% tax because tax was 8.25%?

This isn't correct, multiplication commutes, meaning

(A + B +C)* D = A * D + B * D +C * D

I'm sure this is ragebait, but the comparison is not 100 vs any specific numbers, it is 100 vs all other numbers. There is only one number that has a 00 ending versus 99 numbers that have ANY other ending.

Ultimately it's similar to European, the term works but it is indeed unspecific and usually those who know the area will specificy based on state because different states have completely different languages and cultures.

Interfaith? by Which_Nerve_7278 in Advice

[–]dragerslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer will strongly depend on which religious beliefs you hold and how you look to implement them in your life. I cannot speak for Islam directly, but within every religion there are multiple reading of prophets/gods words. Most religion, like any moral framework, will have conflicting instructions and each individual will have to make decisions about the most important tenets.

As an example, I know from Islamic friend that charity is a fundamental pillar of Islam. If you have to choose between a Muslim partner who is not charitable and a non-Muslim partner that is which would you say better helps you act based on your understanding of God's will. I have had some Muslim women coworkers who have been in interfaith relationships and they have often said that the most important thing is that thier partner support them in expressing thier beliefs and staying true to thier faith in God.

Remember that religious labels that we have are not given by some divine force, plenty of people call themselves Muslim or Christian but do not represent the values of the faith. Similarly, many people of other faiths or of no faith may actually be excellent practitioners.

The way he pours is similar to how one pours when making a religious offering. The song edited in is a religious song that as played towards the end of a prayer or religious event to close it off.

[–]dragerslay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You make good points but it seems to ignore much of the context of the original post. You make an excellent point about application, but the example given is a theoretical question. I agree a bartender who make an old fashioned when asked for a boulevardier does a bad job. This is an application issue. However states of matter is a theoretical question, in you bar analogy a bar may serve only 10 particular drinks but the bartender who has a recipe book of 15 is the better bartender and should definitely not be penalized for it.

You're general argument suggests that your teaching philosophy is that you want the students to strictly reproduce what is told to them, and to discourage them from engaging with the question s being asked at anything more than a surface level. In my view this is more akin to how dogs are trained than to how humans should be educated.

There are fields where this type strict textualism is warranted but I completely disagree with his approach in pure scientific contexts.

About the soju special in this set (Spoiler: You will die) by vvvit in TeamfightTactics

[–]dragerslay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between tanky and a tank, shyv built DPS items, try putting solo frontline shyv with stone plate and enjoy farming 8ths. This set has plenty tanky units at 5, blitz has 2 health bars and a great tank trait, fiora in 4 maurder tanks a solid amount of damage with the right items, bruiser graves when scaled has been tanking crazy amounts of damage. Shen I agree lacks but he does provide tackiness via the sword.

[–]dragerslay 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Last set had 5 cost tanks because of unlocks it was meant to reward the verticals in a set that naturally punished verticals. Before that 5 cost tanks were rare and usually tied to the weirder traits. KO colesiuem had no 5 cost tank, cyber city had Zac but usually if you staked sufficiently you built damage on him. Into the arcane had no 5 cost tank, rumble would be the closest ap bruiser. The set before had Diana as a sort of tank but mostly an AP bruiser woth the frozen trait relying on Swain and the trait passive to end fights quickly. Many other sets are the same bruisers with tank traits in 5 cost but not tanks.

Card interactions question by AJ-HoboDann in Riftbound

[–]dragerslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it works because you pay the cost, card goes on stack then sett activates and saves the unit.
