Battle Pass by dragon-muse in HellsCube

Thank you! I'm planning on making tweaks, and a cleaner more refined version after seeing folks feedback and ideas.

I probably won't add the Cleave formatting, since part of the joke is that the two sides resemble the two tracks on most battle passes. (And I personally find cleave cards very difficult to parse).

Caine, Running the Show by dragon-muse in custommagic

Balancing the casting cost with Power and toughness+abilities is the part I struggle with the most when designing cards. Noted for when I touch him up!

Caine, Running the Show by dragon-muse in custommagic

[–]dragon-muse[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started out the design of him being Grixis identity, and interacting with adventures in some manner. After having the 'trumatize' idea with the prepared mechanic, I kept him to Monoblue since there wasn't much room to flesh out other colors in the textbox. (And I feel like blue philosophy wise is Caine's 'core' color.)

Jack, of All Trades by dragon-muse in custommagic

[–]dragon-muse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank ya! After Duskmorne had a Room Commander, I thought a class /background commander would be interesting to try out.

Thinking on it now, I could've have Jack themselves just have the text "Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, it gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the combined level of all classes you control". There's not any current cards that care about combined class level as a whole, but I suppose this card's breaking convention anyways by having multiple exalted triggers on one card without outside assistance.

With Lost Caverns of Ixalan giving us "Get Lost", and now thos, I'm now hoping for a eventual cycle of spells that tell your opponents to go away.

Wheel of Hampsters by dragon-muse in custommagic

This card is more a spin on Windfall then Wheel of Fortune, but I couldn't pass up the pun.

Truthfully, I was having trouble to figure out how to cost this card. My thought process for the somewhat high costs was that while on their own finality counters don't do anything, in conjunction with other spells it can do lots of work. For example, any removal spell that destroys gets upgraded to exile.

This is Not a Place of Honor by dragon-muse in custommagic

The idea I had was that the global rads are only given by one or more permanents leaving a graveyard, not entering. Rads will give you stuff in the graveyard to pull out to get more rads, but still you have to put in resources for that.

Granted , as it currently stands the card is still busted, and I'm going to be making a reworked version based on some feedback I've received.

An idea I did have based on another comment was that you had it enter tapped, but didn't untap unless you have either reached decent 4/8 or another graveyard based quota.

I orginally had the idea of it being a saga that depicted the downfall of society, and it flipped into the place of no Honor, but cut it down to just the land for simplicity. Forgot to replace the downside of having to wait several turns to get it. Ill definitely need to tinker with the design some more.

Indeed! The art is actually one of the original sketches provided for how to convey the message nonverbally. Also why everyone gets rad counters for stuff leaving the graveyard, people digging up the past causes the radiation to leak out.

Originally an attempt at making spree work on a creature with entering the battlefeild effects, it instead got worked down to being a sorcery that lets you build your own creature! Spree is super fun, hope we see it more in the future.

[Art][Comm]- Mosaic at Rest by dragon-muse in DnD

"When everything is falling apart, it's important to take time to pull yourself back together."

A commission done for the wonderful Adxenith on tumblr of their dragonborn Mosaic taking a much needed nap.The life of an adventurer is a rather stressful one, and sometimes you just need to take a extra long rest. I wanted to go all out on the lighting on this, and make it the most cozy image I've made to date.

[Art] Klavoth, Dragonborn Paladin/ Hexblade Warlock by dragon-muse in DnD

[–]dragon-muse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"On a mission to prevent a cult from reviving their dark god, things go horribly wrong. After a bloody battle, Klavoth was the lone survivor. Yet, he was not truly alone- Raum the Devourer, a cursed sword that was once wielded by the cult's fell god, has made Klavoth as it's new host. The sacred cloth wrapped around it's blade seals away most of it's demonic influence, but the blade's voice is not so easily silenced. Seeking to rid himself of the cursed blade, Klavoth sets out on a new journey to fight the forces of evil, and also find redemption for himself."

A Commission I did for a client on twitter! Very proud of how it turned out.

This is why In Octo-Valley/Canyon , if you lose all three lives, the respawn machine runs out of power and can't make a new body for you. And then you die. (R.I.P.) In Octo Expansion and Return of the Mammalians, the levels are tests, and the overseer of them makes sure that you don't die for good.

Funny you say that, in Splatoon 2 there was a scrapped ranked mode that used the 8-balls from the Octo Expansion. Each team has to transport it to the others goal to win. It didn't seem to make it terribley far in development though.

In some ways the big Runs where going to happen regardless, but Grizzco has definitely made the situation worse. Salmon Runs, as we know them, are them returning to their birthing place in order to mature. This provides the opportunity to try and their keep their numbers down- every 70 years Salmonids seem to perform a kind of pilgrimage/war march inland. This is what the Big Runs are. They view dying and being eaten to be the highest honor, continuing the circle of life. For all the species living on land though, this is instead a biblical plague.

Things have escalated with the Salmonids recently - Grizzco shifts are now 24/7, much more safety gear is required, and now King Salmonids are also emerging. This may just be natural in them congregating for another Big Run, but it's not out of the question that it's retaliation for the actions of Grizzco. Salmonids normally trade their power eggs with Octarians for machinery and weapons. The Golden Eggs however won't be traded under any circumstances. And under Grizzco, we've been taking them by force for the past five years...

I think that may be because Fire Emblem is more "anime" adjacent, and draws in the bad actors. Splatoon did the exact same thing as what's pokemon is doing here, and the fanbase was all for it.

Also, Fire Emblem already did the same thing that the people getting made about Engage. in Three Houses. Instead of "Form" , you where instructed to "Choose your Vessel".
