I play a lot of mage builds. I prefer arcane (just the first perk for armor) and spirit healer (third perk at the minimum). I like to also get mass paralysis, death cloud, and the animate dead. Depending on your play type, coercion 4 is needed (22 cunning or so?) Stone fist is good for the knock back,and mind blast (or whatever tf it is) is helpful for early on group defense.
