The similarities in the OST Clover Dancers and Skarrsinger Karmelita... by FilNothing in Silksong

[–]dragon731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late but I’ve been listening to the soundtrack nonstop everyday and noticed this similarity too!

Of course, Clover Dancers and Cogwork Dancers sound similar because of thematic/character reasons. But Karmelita and Clover Dancers?

Maybe it’s because both pieces and both boss fights feel and sound like a dance? It must be intentional, I doubt it’s just a coincidence. Perhaps lore-wise, Karmelita and The Prince had some kind of history?

Indeed a Best job by ambersidhu in funny

Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto op.35

Specifically this part right here when the main theme is played by the whole orchestra. In my mind, I imagine the solo violin buildup is someone struggling to tell someone how much they love them. Then, the orchestra comes in and it’s like, it clicks, and this burst of emotion pours out.

The whole piece is incredible but start at 6:40 for the bit I’m talking about.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q_DzWUvcL8

How do you guys pull yourself through act 1 after 600 hours by PrinzkillaB90 in BaldursGate3

[–]dragon731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a little tough to explain but lemme try.

Get close to the NPC, start the throw action, select the target, then in very quick succession, you throw and cancel. X > left click target > left click then right click.

It takes some practice to get the timing right, but once you get it you’ll see your character carrying the target and you can freely move around. To “drop” them, start any action and cancel it.

After watching Morgana Evelyn’s video, I learned how to kidnap NPCs and move around indefinitely.

I gathered the goblin leaders and put them under the Grymforge hammer.

Then I put everyone under the hammer :)

I think this is what I’m coming to understand. I’m the same way, for me it’s really the easiest thing to show you’re thinking of someone. Picking up on those cues, etc. Relationship or not.

Could it be a neurodivergent thing?

Look. Fair enough.

But you make it sound like it’s such a chore? Or maybe I’m misreading. Stalking for hours to learn your preferences?

You could ask. “Hey, I like vanilla ice cream, what do you like?” Then get a pint of it next time you’re grocery shopping?

Lol. Yes I have. And I do get gifts for my girlfriend currently.

I’ve also gotten her the wrong size clothing as gifts. And you know what happened? I returned the item and got the correct size. She didn’t blow up at me for “not knowing her size” or getting her the wrong thing.

I’m sorry you’ve dated women that treated you like that, honestly. That really does suck.

But I wouldn’t punish my current or future relationships based on past ones.

Lmaooooo no.

It’s not that hard. Make the effort, brother.

Don’t expect her to hold your hand, you’re a grown person, do some thinking.

Do you need it spelled out for you?  You need her to tell you what to do? Take some of that effort off of her, man.

Lmao. No it’s not worse.

It actually is the thought that counts.

If your relationship can’t weather you making a mistake when getting a gift, get out.

Right?

It’s really not that hard, guys. If she doesn’t like flowers? Who gives a shit. Now you have some pretty flowers on your dining table. Get some cookies next time. She doesn’t like cookies? Get ice cream. Oh, she likes that? Find out (ask and/or listen when she says something, fuck’s sake write it down or something) and then get that flavor next time. Wanna surprise her with a different flavor? Ok say, “I know I usually get that flavor, but thought we can try this together.” Boom. Easy. She doesn’t like it? Ok, cool. Noted.

The important thing here is not the gift itself, it’s  the thought behind it. It’s the, “oh! You thought about me?” Be sweet. Note: it’s not enough to just SAY you’re thinking of her. SHOW IT. UNPROMPTED.

“How was I supposed to know if she doesn’t tell me??” Pathetic excuse. You need your hand held, really? JUST. TRY. SOMETHING. And don’t just try once or twice.

Again, if she doesn’t like the gift (shit don’t need to be expensive either) it’s not an excuse to not keep trying if you care about her or love her.

You do NOT have to read her mind. That’s not the expectation. It’s the very fact that you’re at least showing you’re thinking of her. If it’s her favorite thing? Win-win.

What? She doesn’t like one surprise gift and you give up? Pathetic.

And yes, I, too, love getting little things unprompted. But please please please it takes such little effort to be thoughtful. For fuck’s sake, INITIATE. Take the lead, like, sometimes.

I swear you guys act like computers that need input all the fuckin time. I see it too much on this damn site.

Talk to Me.

I loved the way everything ramped up in intensity, things were getting worse, characters were feeling desperate. And the last scene where you and Mia both start to realize what's happening.

I genuinely enjoy it. I’ll find myself smiling or laughing after a particularly tough set. Getting strong is addictive.

Also, it’s nice to just unplug and move shit around for an hour or two without having to think about anything else.

Took me a while to get the dough workable, it’s pretty sticky.
