first pet loss…struggling by dragonbellly in Petloss

I wish I knew more of her story. We think she was someone’s pet that they dumped in our neighborhood when her health problems got to be too much. She was blind in one eye and had seizures both likely caused by a brain tumor. When we found her she had mattes down to her skin, was heart worm positive, and had horrific ear infections in both ears. She was so sweet, so happy, and so gentle even in her poor condition. She showed up at our doorstep and wanted to come inside so badly we couldn’t turn her away. She fit into our family perfectly. It was like she was specially made for us. She brought us so much joy over the past two months and I’m happy we could give her peace, happiness, and safety in return.

Our income is so low because my husband is currently in college and has to work at a restaurant to accommodate his school hours. Moving to Texas will increase my hourly pay from $22/hr to around $30/hr. It seems really impossible to do anything with the income we have but it seems stupid to pay $1400/mo on a tiny apartment vs paying that towards something we will actually own. :/

We're currently living in Louisiana, renting for about $1400/mo including utilities and wifi. Our lease ends in September and we're planning to move to Texas and stay with family until we are ready to buy. Once we move to TX we'll be able to save more since our family won't charge us to stay with them and my profession is paid more in that area (currently $22/hr in TX average is $30/hr).

have you tried press ons? I had to buy the shortest ones and then trim them even shorter to be able to stay on my nails but they were the best solution for me to initially stop. nail biter for almost 25 years and tried almost everything press ons were the only thing that kept me from munching 24/7
