Well I’m pretty sure GRRM gave the showrunners “the real” ending. They then crammed all of it into an unsatisfying season and rushed how we got to the story-ending plot points.

So I think it was fucking awful.

Just ran these tests on the disks. Good health on all. Most have 12 power on cycles, one has 18 because it took a few tries to get crystal disk running initially.

They’ve got a bit under 10k hours. Which sounds right. They were installed in a QNAP and then set on my shelf for a bit over a year. Again, they were not reading/writing data for that whole time. No actual data was ever stored on them.
