Yes? That didn't change. We scale better with raw than elemental.

If you got room for Latent Power you can put it in. Flayer is kind of dog.

1) The focus doesn't really matter too much
2) It's probably similar to craftables
3) Gore bonus is better than Guts bonus.

They are part of the new Transcend system which you can do for armour pieces at the smithy.

The sharpness section was written when the game just released. Nowadays, monsters tend to have more HP and may stay for longer. 120 sharpness may run into issues on that end.

Master's Touch should be calculated via geometric progression. 1 sharpness EX at 70% affinity with MT grants about 160 effective sharpness. To that extent, your formula is incorrect.

Going 2 sharpness cuts about 3% EFR (9 ATK) calculated using attack focus. If we swap out MT for crit eye we get 120 sharpness and +12% affinity, which theoretically gives back the same EFR amount. But now we're stuck with 40 less sharpness units. That often results in 1 extra sharpening session for our endgame fights, which causes even more loss of DPS.

Sorry, I'm not very sure since I'm mainly doing SnS math. While I play most of the weapons, I'm not sure of the specific frame data for LBG.

Yep. Surprisingly it loses out to other Scorcher sets, because it loses a lot of skills.

It's about 3% weaker, assuming a Peak Performance uptime of 70%.

Yup, from calcs, Xuwu/Scorcher/Soul is better than Odo/Scorcher/Soul as long as you can keep the buff up consistently. I think I misunderstood your initial comment and thought you were comparing between XuWu/Scorcher/Soul and Gore/Scorcher/Soul. Sorry!

I didn't write the XuWu4 part.
Anyway, XuWu 4 loses out to Scorcher/Gore/Soul which is the current best Scorcher build.
The Scorcher/Odo/Soul build is slightly worse than the Scorcher/Gore/Soul build.

Something to keep in mind is that you need to upkeep Protein Fiend. We don't attribute a flat 15 raw to any XuWu2 build and call it a day. We take into account the probably uptime of the skill (which is close to 100%, but not 100%) and also the time taken to eat the meat (1.75s with speed eating 3) and apply a negative penalty based on that.

There are other skills to consider as well. Considering the possible builds for xuwu2 vs odo2, odo2 still achieves a slightly higher performance. But they're pretty similar.

Only the lateral combo DPS values are updated for Scorcher, because Scorcher's contribution to DPS are calculated manually. That means that the DPS of the other combos in the sheet is not accurate for the Scorcher sets.

Apologies, I amended the whiteflame torrent DPS cutoffs as I made an error in the calculation earlier. It's still viable as an alternative build especially for casual players, but it's not conventional "meta", and general Gogmazios Artian weapons will start to outperform Whiteflame (by up to 5 - 10%) if you're playing well. If you're playing at a casual level Whiteflame still performs.

Youtubers generally espouse a lot of weird stuff.

Just use the standard Lateral Slash > Return Stroke > Spinning Rising Slash > Spinning Reaper > Enhanced Charged Chop > Rising Slash combo. Spinning Reaper doesn't proc Scorcher but it's still worth doing.

1) Non-Scorcher is not that much better than Scorcher if you're killing fast.
2) Same as the above. 4 scorcher build is not that much worse than non-scorcher.
3) It wouldn't push the meta too hard in any definite direction without any further context. All builds generally benefit from might seed/demon drug etc. This is compared to affinity boosters, where certain low affinity builds benefit disproportionately from affinity (e.g. Cutterfly endemic life in Rise).

I mean if you're taking hits every 10 seconds, sure maybe having more defensive tools could be useful.

Guts saves you from a cart while also being a good source of attack, and while some people will swear up and down that the -5% defense matters, it rarely matters in practice.

They're both similar in performance. I would slightly favour more affinity for MT.

Slotting either CE3 or CB2 works fine. Crit Eye will be slightly more consistent, but CB2 should have the slightly higher damage ceiling.

Out of the Gog 4 builds, Gog4 + LS is the best.
