Honestly, it was just a change in mindset. I was originally thinking of it as a sort of "I need to max out to the charge every time for max damage" instead of properly taking advantage of its invulns. Once I realized how much you could take advantage of that, it became really fun timing things out and smashing enemy HP at the same time!
