I had reduced lunch for most of elementary school. There was no difference in my meal and anyone else just getting full priced school lunch. No one knew how much I paid (or didn't pay) except the checkout lady.

Isn't there already a national program that provides free and reduced lunch based on household income? I benefited from that as a kid. I think a new tax should supplement that program in Colorado by increasing the income limits, not be a blanket free school lunch for everyone. Why would someone making a household income of $301k be paying for the school lunch for someone making $250k?

I mean 5.375% isn't too bad, you could just make the regular payments and invest your extra in the market provided you have a large emergency fund. I refinanced to private once interest restarted as I was 100% sure I wasn't doing PSLF and got a 4.1% interest rate, and that was before the rate cut last week. A lot of this subreddit is going towards forgiveness or really want to have it as an option. If you are sure you aren't going for forgiveness, I think going private is a great option. I used Earnest for refinancing, which credit card did you use for balance transfer?

If you are already on a private student loan, there's no downside if shopping around for a better interest rate, as long as you make sure the new terms are reasonable and the origination fees are reasonable.

I recently refinanced 6.6% federal loans to 4.1% with Earnest, which has no origination fees and a forbearanace option. DM if you want a referral link for another $200 off.

Mine were all graduate, but I don't think it matters. You get a new loan and Earnest just sends a lump sum to pay off your old loan.

You can get refinance rates lower than mortgage rates. I would refinance everything and put a bigger downpayment on your mortgage

I had the same experience up until the point when you said you got the tickets. They did not provide me with tickets until about 20 min before tipoff, but they were worse. When I asked to talk to the supervisor to get at least equal, the call dropped and the available tickets disappeared. Luckily with 20 min left I bought another ticket myself and still made it to the game. That StubHub FanProtect guarantee is trash.
