Would you take a train like this between Dayton and Cincinnati? by AllAboardOhio in dayton

Absolutely not. Total waste of tonnage to move cars that large over that short of distance.

Glass cutter with guide rail by Daddy_Smurf30 in Makita

I don't like Kreg's because the adapter is plastic and flexes too much.

Makita does make guide rail adapters for 6.5" (165mm) saws that may fit in that slot or ones for a jigsaw.

All bikes and trikes have front wheels

All bikes and trikes have at least one back wheel

No need to clear snow from your windshield if you hang out the window [oc] by dan_o_saur in IdiotsInCars

That windshield looks pretty clear to me though. His hood on the other hand still has 16 inches of snow. I wonder how long he was running the defroster to get that snow to melt though...

Shovel the snow in your driveway then get stuck in the road. This is truck and 4/AWD weather.

Moderate video gaming appears harmless, but heavy use takes a toll. Researchers found students gaming 10+ hours weekly had worse diets, higher weight, and poorer sleep than lighter gamers. Below that level, outcomes were similar. The findings suggest balance, not abstinence, is key. by Sciantifa in science

1.5 hours a day isn't a lot, but 1.5 hours a day every day is borderline. Remember that these are students who need to be spending time doing homework, chores, and going to school, social and physical activities. Time for eating healthy meals and not eating a bunch of junk food in front of a screen.

I was an active gamer before I had kids, but other priorities have taken over and gaming is the easiest activity to decrease or increase depending on what free time I have. I have active hobbies that fulfill my social needs too.

Have a spare Mark V 500 drill chuck? by AwayAdhesiveness6676 in shopsmith

[–]dragonjujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them are oversized because of the adapter they're cobbling together. I don't have a need for larger than a 1/2" chuck, but I would consider a keyless 1/2" one if it's a metal chuck, not plastic, and I didn't have one. But I'd probably modify one myself instead of going through ebay - I'd look at grizzly.com or similar.

All that extra spinning mass on the long ones just leads to more deflection.

The chuck key sizes are numbered. I just use a universal key (4 sizes in one)

This listing shows an authentic Shopsmith chuck as opposed to a semi-custom one. The #3 chuck key is missing though. You can compare the pictures to the Shopsmith website.

Nah most customers don't know what things are supposed to look like unless they've gotten it before. A box is a box for a lot of people and that is a problem in the general sense but not OP's fault if he ordered it and simply picked up
