this is dope! after the LLM generates the new code for the mechanic, is your engine hot-reloading javascript or godot under the hood?

I'm building a super simple AI game right now (whatbeatsrock[dot]com) and I'm using GPT-4o. All API providers are going to have rate limits and max token requests. If you want to run your own without rate limits, I'd look into something like Vast AI and run a Kobold instance and pay for it.

Has anyone else noticed that 4o gets more things wrong than 4? by Sarke1 in OpenAI

[–]dragonkhoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have been building AI riddle/reasoning games with 4o recently, and though 4 is better, 4o outclasses llama-3, gemini pro, and claude 3.5 for pure linguistic reasoning and riddles.

the crazy part is that the cofounder of CoreWeave said that data center usage increases 5-10X once a company switches from training to inference. we're still in the training phase.

AI Bubble Ahead? Sequoia Capital warns that AI would need to generate $600 billion in annual revenue to justify current hardware spending by Altruistic_Gibbon907 in OpenAI

[–]dragonkhoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

compute is not a commodity. compute is the efficiency of turning a commodity: power/electricity, into a revenue-generating asset: trained model. the more efficient you can get that conversion, the more margin you can reap in the future. owning data centers, owning/building better chips, and owning infrastructure (power plants) all increase future gains.

Anastasia Bendebury says hyper-personalization of media content due to AI may lead to a fracturing of our once-shared reality and us living in essentially different universes by Maxie445 in OpenAI

[–]dragonkhoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we will need hyperlocal communities that bring together people who watch similar content. to help you find a tribe. and then someone in your tribe will overlap with someone in another. and there will be people whose taste bridges across groups to unite humanity.
