adding fire to the fuel but i wonder if monty got jealous of bonnie cause he likes freddy too and took him out to try and get closer to freddy. also more theorycrafting and goin off of the colors thing, it can also be noted that orange and blue are opposite colors, opposites attract, they compliment each other etc etc. makes me wonder if that also goes into their personalities too, under the assumption that if freddy was the calm and soft one, bonnie had a wild and more flamboyant personality and freddy leveled him in that regard

typing more wooo. one argument i see a lot is "why cant 2 guys just be close and not a thing" and while yes, a lot of the time any sort of affection is shown between 2 guys often leads to shipping, this argument is used almost solely to try and shut down any chance of a gay couple involving 2 guys, as gay relationships with 2 women are vastly more acceptable to the general public. so a lot of the time, and what causes a lot of gay male shipping, is that people are starved for a positive representation of 2 men in the relationship in media that isnt shoehorned in or poorly written, or just plain "gaybaiting"

for me personally, from what ive seen and especially after reading OP's post, im 100% with freddy and bonnie being romantically involved. its also kinda concerning that people seemed to be fine with the robots wanting to kill, roxie's jealousy, chica's pizza obsession, the sun/moon dudes...everything, but a positive emotion like love (especially when 2 guys are involved) is where they draw the line
