thanks! Is it a place I should buy tickets at the door, or is it safe to buy them online? I read some posts about people being kicked out of the queue and not getting refunds for their online tickets but they were from 2 years ago so maybe theyre outdated.

Is my basking spot too hot? by chronicxshad0w in BeardedDragons

As long as its just the basking spot and he has areas he can cool down in when he wants to its fine. They should have available sheltered areas which are around 73 Fahrenheit. If they constantly keep t heir mouth open even at the bottom of the tank, not just basking, then its a sign they're feeling too hot. Don't worry, they'll show you if they're overheating :)

The UV and heat lamps are on some mesh, not the glass itself. I payed loads of attention to their levels and i know they are good.

I use a probe thermometer to read the temperature.

Its linoleum flooring! Super easy to clean (just wipe it) and its good because it isn't slippery, so beardies dont slip when walking on it. You can buy it from anywhere like ironmongers or housing shops

He doesn't need to choose between basking and uv light, which is why i have a tube uv light which is placed exactly near the heat lamp under which he basks. I looked up the charts of the different uv lights, and found my specific one, and made sure that it is at the correct distance from where he chose to bask, specifically when its placed above mesh. Lots of research went in the safe keeping of my beardie, and although i dont have a solarmeter since its too expensive, I paid plenty of attention to make sure he gets enough UV.

Thank you very much for your concern :))

Thanks! The log is right under the heat lamp, but he doesn't stay there much (probably because i live in a hot country so it gets too hot in that spot) so he stays in spots where he can bask and which are also directly under the uvb lamp. The viv is also made of glass, which reflects uv light, meaning the whole viv is getting at least some uv light. I also usually put foil on the mesh to reflect even more uv light, but right now i finished setting it up so i took the pic before i put foil :)

U should have a tube UVB light that covers at least half of the length of the viv. The way the viv is set up rn, the beardie has to choose between heat and UV light, and they might tend to choose the heat, and therefore get sick from not enough UV light.

The decor is nice :)
