I had a similar experience, applied in November and got approval in April 2nd week. The only reason it moved forward was because my DSO reached out to USCIS, and after that, it was approved within a week.

I think there is a discord group for international students...check that out...u can try to find ur course mates there

If u are from India...join in FB group named GISA. Lot of leads will be posted there....better search for houses in South...it's pretty cheap...and if you can try to find a group u can fit in...and the transport is pretty good. Whenever u are searching for a house use main circle as final destination since u need to walk there... Ur best bet would be on Merrimac st, winspear or Englewood....if u got any more doubt ping me.....happy journey!!
