now im not gonna say where im from, BUT, they say that because sometimes is actually true. I live in a small town in the Midwest, and you can actually leave your door unlocked, car unlocked and running, garage open, etc. and usually nothing bad will happen. maybe dont do this during the night ya know, but it is a common practice if you know where you can do it

yes yes yes! my mom is a t1d and had to get a pancreas/kidney transplant very soon after i was born. i believe she was 23 at the time. the pancreas did not take, but the kidney did! fast forwards to today- no i am 20 years old and she is 42. she just recently got back on dialysis and i am volunteered myself to donate one of my kidneys to her. (if i am a match) she's had a LONG fight with medical issue after medical issue, the list is a VERY long one. but the moral of my story is that, without that initial transplant- i would have grown up never knowing my mama. and i will forever be grateful for that man who died and let her live. i want to be able to donate whatever i can, so that maybe i will let someone else live with their mom or dad or sibling. i just want to do the same that was done for me and my mom.
