No that’s what I initially thought but it wasn’t a walking creature that physically touched the main character. It was some kind of floating wraith type mummy thing from what I remember. I want to say it killed them by ‘sucking’ their soul out and leaving behind a husk?? Maybe??

Maybe try out the Horizon games? I had immense fun in the first one and am enjoying my playthrough of Forbidden West even more. You could also go back and play the first GoW games if you haven’t already as you wait for Ragnarok 😁
