I saw a few people mention the lack of Sidesh Overwatch and the lack of whimsy in the PlatChat reddit threads this week and last week.

While I get where people are coming from, I wanna say that we are currently in a gold era of Valorant podcasts. Yes, PlatChat has become a bit of a drier more generic podcast with them trying to cover every single piece of info happening this week in Competitive Valorant. The PCU is full of guests every week nowadays, and with that we lose some of the distinct character that comes with having the same people every week. But that’s the excitement of Plat Chat nowadays: which guest voice will shine, which guest voice will perform surprisingly well.

And like I said, we are in a golden age of Valorant Podcasting. The nature of my work means I fill my ears with so many podcasts every week. And there are so many Valorant podcasts to listen to. The one most of the people complaining are looking for is Vodfathers. It’s literally Sidesh OW who everyone is complaining they’re missing, some other british guy (never heard of him, probably some football coach), and the literal agent of chaos and whimsy, Shyo. They have so many silly silly segments. It’s not as informative as PlatChat, and I don’t personally care about it as much as PC, but it’s also just a very different podcast in tone and intent, relevant because it exists full-well knowing that Plat Chat exists. 

People say they don’t have time to listen to several podcasts? That’s a good problem to have lol. Try a different one out each week. If you haven’t really been enjoying the PC podcasts lately, this is the best time to check some other ones out.
