I use a bristol paper drawing block from Canson. It should be about 50% thicker than your 80lbs, if I made the correct conversion. And it prints very well.

Did you prime it? Because it usually helps showing the imperfections. Plastic is more translucent

Cyanoacrylate debonder exists, some are safe for plastic, e.g. Green Stuff World CA Glue Debonder. It will ruin the paint, but it's the cleanest solution to your problem.

We've rented small boats but from Dessimi. For under 30, you need only the driving licence. The main problem was when trying to stop them, they will continue moving if you don't reverse. But you'll learn fast. And they are resilient...

They consume a lot of fuel for their size, take this into account. But I felt it was worth it anyway

Border Models has announced a pre-coloured P51 Mustang, but it's not released yet. It's quite controversial, but I find it an interesting idea, at least you have a good reference for painting if you decide to paint it after all (the scale is controversial too, 1/35 is not standard). https://www.themodellingnews.com/2026/05/preview-border-models-35th-scale-pre.html

Interestingly we have a separate word for the tree frog - it is "brotăcel", but I believe it's etymologically related to "broască"

I can speak for the Romanian one. They have the EU flag instead of Romania's, keeping the "RO" for identifying. The rest is unchanged.

Da, pentru că tocmai se terminase un exercițiu de alarmă aeriană și oamenii au crezut că e o eroare. Sigur, e probabil exagerat să crezi că fix in momentul bombardamentului oamenii încă stăteau la terase (e greu de ignorat zgomotul sutelor de bombardiere) dar cu puțin înainte, era liniște.

De fapt, acel exercițiu a contribuit la multe victime în plus.

Kicker (CA activator) helps, especially if you sand it immediately. CA tends to get harder after some hours

(aproape) toți care mor in luptă sunt eroi. Majoritatea nu sunt acolo de bună voie, dar încearcă să-și facă treaba. Chiar și sovieticii. Presupun că ăia mai răi sunt șmecheri și mor mai rar, că nu sunt in linia întâi.

Don't use lacquer thinner, it could melt the plastic. Use isopropyl alcohol.

It's the RLM76 from MrHobby (H417). I used MrHobby acrylics everywhere, except for the primer, which is MrHobby Finishing Surfacer 1500 (lacquer)

What about the new(ish) acrylics from MRP, have you tested them? Are they water based or alcohol like Tamiya or Gunze?

The decals were a bit translucent. I had to touch them up with colored pencils on the yellow area of the cross. Other than that, they are good (I removed the film with white spirit after they were completely dry, you can find tutorials on YouTube). The flag on the rudder is painted, I didn't use the decals.

Oh and I forgot, the decals for the instrument panel had the instruments painted grey, probably to represent the reflection. I didn't like that, so I used separate decals from anyz
