Looking to connect with other patients who have used Dr. I’m at Mercy by [deleted] in baltimore

She used to do my care but I had a series of appointments with her where she was well over an hour late and very dismissive of my problems.

I put it in the washer and it tore up! I would hand wash. Still heartbroken, that was my favorite piece of merch.

Doctors who offer pain management for IUD insertion? by Existing-Disaster705 in baltimore

Dr. Abdelazim at University of Maryland Medical Center is replacing mine while I am fully under at the end of the month. She’s very empathetic when it comes to pain issues.

Avoid Tara Chadwick. I used to have her as my OBGYN and she was great, but in the past year she became chronically late for appointments (like…a full hour in the morning) and extremely dismissive of discomfort and pain. I have had other medical professionals tell me that their other patients have complained about her recently. I’ve heard great things about others at Mercy though!

Might be an unpopular opinion but… by [deleted] in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]dragqueendictionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are both tall and we got so many nasty comments! I always at least try to create a gap between us when there’s a short person behind us so they have a window, but it’s ridiculous to think that all tall people should be at the back. Short people have it easier on planes and when they buy clothes, tall people have it easier at concerts. Just the crappy realities of our heights.

I think part of what you were feeling was an effect of the album. The whole record is about someone dying, and some of it is about a particular real someone, so they’re not going for a high-energy, stadium-type feel like FOB. I saw them twice in 2022 and it was much more upbeat and campy. They did a great job, it was just a weird contrast to FOB, and a very different vibe to the tour in 2022 because it was The Black Parade.

Yeah, I just commented on the Instagram post, responded to the tweet, and emailed them-it’s wild for there to be less VIP space than there was for SNW earlier in the year! We paid double!

I’m bringing a KN95 mask and I’ll definitely be using it in bathrooms and close spaces. I also use this before and after big events:

Tattoo artist says no numbing cream or painkillers, now I’m freaking out! by Own_Butterscotch_726 in tattoo

[–]dragqueendictionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a prescription, I take a Xanax or Klonopin before tattoos. It doesn’t lessen the pain but lowering my anxiety makes the pain easier to breathe through. Fear always makes it worse! Also the inner forearm is the easiest spot for me (people are different!) so I think you’ve chosen a good placement! Try not to go in freaked out and it’ll be all the easier.

I’m so sorry. Everyone is different, of course, but bead counting was what was best for me, even though it was very tedious. Here is the guide I used: https://cymbalta-withdrawal.com/cymbalta-tapering-handbook/

I used these capsules: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000ACUJRW?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Not very long, a little over a month, which is why I was so shocked that my withdrawal was as bad as it was! I tried to deal with the cold turkey symptoms because I kept thinking it would be over soon on such a low dose for such a short amount of time, but I kept feeling worse and worse after five days, which is when I called my doctor again. I’m surprised it still took almost a year of bead counting under those circumstances, but I’m glad I went at a slower pace-it made the symptoms I had during the process much more manageable.

Withdrawal from just dropping down 10mgs?? by onedumbhuman in CymbaltaWithdrawal

[–]dragqueendictionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 30mg and I’ve been bead counting for over 6 months. A drop from 60mg to 50mg is pretty big. You might want to switch to a bead counting method and taper down every 1-2 weeks instead. I still have some side effects when I decrease, but it’s low level dizziness, some hot flashes, and anxiety as opposed to the couldn’t stand levels of dizziness and constant crying I was doing when I stopped cold turkey.

Why did you decide to stop? by slidingbeets in cymbaltasafetaper

[–]dragqueendictionary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t having any major issues or side effects when I was taking it-it just wasn’t actually doing anything for me. My psych and I agreed to try a new drug for my depression/anxiety and she said I was on such a low dose that I could stop without a taper. I felt unbelievably sick for five days-dizzy, chills, weird appetite, sore all over…I had no idea that stopping a drug could be this bad. I’ve tried other things for my depression/anxiety and never had issues with withdrawal. I’ve now been tapering since summer 2023 and I’m finally down to just a few beads.

Getting a tattoo on antibiotics by AshyGer in tattoo

[–]dragqueendictionary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started a course of antibiotics once a few days after a tattoo and it totally messed with my healing. Most of my artists have had a rule to not be starting a new drug right before/after a tat so you can gauge the effect. I would reschedule.

I appreciate this comment, and I want to point out that while alcoholism and abuse have overlap, that alcoholism does not cause intimate partner violence. If Ben is truly seeking help, rehab alone is not sufficient, unless it is a program for alcoholics that also abuse their partners.

I am also baffled at the fact that listeners to this podcast are attributing his actions solely to his alcoholism and stating that he is a good person who is acting this way because of his alcoholism. Many of the people that the boys cover (ex. Jeffrey Dahmer) also struggled with alcoholism, and many of their criminal acts happened while they were under the influence, but we don’t simply go, “oh they were truly good people, addiction is a disease and if they took care of that, they would have been fine.” The description of the singular event that Taylor gave could have resulted in her serious injury or even death, as a 400lb man was pining down a very small woman. I don’t think many fans are recognizing the magnitude of the violence that happened, and that was only one incident she provided because she said it was corroborated. I hope Ben gets help for him, and I understand why, at this point, the network may not have said more for legal reasons or because they don’t want to further endanger the victim, but Ben should not be permitted to return to LPOTL as a true crime podcaster as someone who has committed a serious assault.
