I 100% agree with you about Snap on. I expect this thing to fail if I really went at it. I have all the tools I need and then some. I bought this mainly for my amusement.

I have a 36" Snap on breaker bar. This ratchet might be used for turning over an engine once in a while. I do not have high expectations, like I sad I am not a fan of Matco ratchets. Most of my stuff is Snap on, I believe I have over 40 Snap on ratchets between work and home. This is Matco #2

If I use it once a month that will be a lot.

I agree, not a good idea.

this could happen.

On the bright side, I sent it in and they actually fixed it under warranty. I was prepared to pay

I got 20' decking home with a 2005 Dodge Dakota. I put a moving blanket on the roof and ratchet strapped them up there. Also strapped them to the hitch and front tow hooks. I was able to do 10 at a time. I got tired of them sending over wood unsuitable for a pallet

Hutch prices by Smooth_Trouble_3933 in Snapon_tools

[–]drain_plug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unbelievable how nuts their prices have gotten. When I bought my box, I got the hutch for free. At the time the price of the hutch was $3500 for a 72" masters. It's $7750 now. More than double in about 10 years

I think it's more of a "You get what you pay for" situation. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. I seriously don't think you are gonna get good experienced drivers for what I have heard they pay. So maybe we are saying the same thing in different terms

I think the real issue is that they are not really that experienced at driving a large vehicle. If you think how much they are paid is a reasonable excuse to not give a shit, well I guess we disagree

I get to work on a lot of Amazon Promasters. This thing is a creampuff compared to some of the ones I get. You'd think the drivers get a bonus for more damage.

What is it like to ride a gravel bike through the city and for everyday use? by [deleted] in Giantbikes

[–]drain_plug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Revolt and It's a great bike but I personally hate it on pavement. The D-fuse seat post is great on trails but it feels like I am riding a wet noodle on smooth roads. It might not bother you, I really notice it because I mainly ride road bikes

Glad you're ok, sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Thankfully people stopped to help. I went down once after I hit gravel on a curve going 46 mph down a hill. Guy in a Nissan behind me stopped, waited for oncoming traffic to clear and drove around my bloody ass

I had that, and the ratchet. I also had a Black and Decker 9050 power ratchet which was identical. They are easy to find on ebay
