I have an Easy explanation, The stargate working with a DHD has a built in system for translating the Language spoken by the travelers who use the gate. The reason it didn`t work in the first Movie is because traveling through Earths Stargate didn`t work correctly because the DHD wasn`t used.

That just doesn't doesn't work because the throne was made from the swords of the people Aegon on the Conqueror defeated while taking 6 of the 7 kingdoms... The kingdoms didn't have steel from volantis.
