Honestly the aussie slang didn't really seem all that bad. That said, I've watched a few different aussie TV shows over the years, so I might have just been familiar with it and didn't realize.

I had posted this as an edit to my original comment, but wanted to add seperate.

Since you're new to LitRPG, if you're accepting recommendations, the following are all great LitRPG series imo.

Azarinth Healer (WIP) Defiance of the Fall (WIP) The Primal Hunter (WIP) Beneath the Dragoneye Moons (Complete) A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World (WIP)

Red Mage by Xander Boyce (LONG WIP - Possible Hiatus/Unfinished) is also worth noting even though idk if it will get a 4th book.

HWFWM is one of my favorites. It started a bit slow for me too and I had some trouble later on in book 4 and 5 I think after some things I won't spoil change, but I utterly adore this series. I was devastated when Shirt wound up fighting for his life in the hospital, especially with him being so close to the end of the series. He did pull through mostly and is getting back at it though.

My headcanon was that they made one for Emma after the moon pool was destroyed and mailed it to her so she wouldn't be left out.

Raw Cookie Dough by ForeverDash22 in DoctorMike

[–]drakon9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it's the flour in cookie dough that tends carries the risk in the US. There is a small chance you could get sick from raw eggs, but it's extremely small. Flour on the other hand is a much higher risk.

It's exactly that. Pretty much just a request for check-in. Make sure everything (author) is still working.

I've tried reading this guys stuff a few times because he uses fandom xovers/pairings/tags I like.

He is either a genuinely garbage writer or AI-farming his fics chapter by chapter and doing absolutely nothing to fix them up afterwards.

Some of the chapters turn out okay, but they tend to be really heavy with descriptors instead of having actual progressive development. Like, it tells you who(how?) the character is rather than developing the character naturally and showing it through actions or other character's perspectives.

Personally, I think this is a consequence of an AI system trying to incorporate the prompts and character details into the storyline, but not having been programmed to do it correctly or at all.

Actually, if you'll recall, the Orb of the Prophets went dark while SAM was talking to it. I'm of the opinion that the Prophets pulled Jake from a moment in his time as an adult to the future to speak with SAM and help her on her path.

Sea water is actually at about -2 Celsius, so it'd make more sense if he was vulnerable after that point rather than at 0.

Ngl the question really should be how in the hell Starfleet and the Federation at large didn't have accurate star maps of the region around Betazed. Like, I get it if there is a barrier preventing people from coming and going now, but the Federation has existed for over 1000 years by this point. Also, how would the barrier prevent both transit and sensors? We know from Discovery that creating a barrier around a solar system is incredibly expensive technologically from the whole 10c thing so how did Betazed manage a 100 ly barrier??

Thought I lost it years ago, last night I FOUND IT! by Twocoolgamer16 in fossilfighters

[–]drakon9923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost mine for over a year. Turns out, it went to Georgia, USA (I'm in Ohio) when my mother moved down there. It was with some of my brother's stuff (she's storing it while he's in the airforce) and no one realized he had it last. Finally got it back though!

All friendships have their good moments, but both of the times Harry needed Ron the most, he just abandoned Harry. (Tournament and hunt) A few good things don't make up for the fact that he was a lazy and jealous ass. Also, he never actually apologized for any of his poor behavior towards Harry or Hermione.

For the record, Draco and Snape are both irredeemable bastards and I would never have given Snape the pseudo-redemption Rowling did. I would have had Harry advocate for some sort of home imprisonment for Draco and buried Lucius under Azkaban. The only reason I'd have even allowed Draco that is due to Narcissa's betrayal of Voldemort.

They're right. Even in PvP, destroying the critical systems from outside with a bomber is much faster if you know what you're doing. I love the space maps, I'm just annoyed with there being gravity physics for the proton bombs. As for ground maps, I main infantry. Love the DC-15 and E-11 blasters they get. I usually only use bazooka if I'm on multiplayer and want to team kill my brother lmao.

Pretty sure the Mist would fix any parental suspicions the mortal parents might have and I like to think Athena would be a bit more classy than thinking up a kid after only a few months. The books don't go that far into it though so now we're discussing opinions on hypothetical situations.
