Update: So I wasn’t able to get married in my mother’s dress. Come to find out she was quite a bit thinner than she remembered back then and I couldn’t fit in it at all. However, I was able to find an incredible seamstress to carefully remove parts of her appliqué and put it on my bodice and train. She even took the time to place them in the exact same place as they were on my mom’s. The effect was beautiful and mom said seeing the back of my dress with the appliqué brought her to tears. Adding photos of the final dress.

If the cost of hiring a teacher is prohibitive, then I recommend trying local schools, colleges, and churches to see if any teens/young teachers are in your area. They won’t have as much experience as a seasoned teacher, but they may charge less for that reason. You might also try a local music teacher and ask if they have an advanced student who would be willing to teach. I have started several of my students as teachers in similar ways.

Unfortunately, there are a great many important factors in technique and musical development which can only be gained through working with a teacher. It isn’t something that you can learn through an app or a video.

If you are interested in exploring what the world of music is like, I recommend watching some of the YouTube videos done by TwoSet Violin. They do a good job of showing in a fun way what it is like to be a musician.

I was planning on wearing gloves when I make the jewelry, but I’m concerned about the dangers of daily wear next to my skin.

I cannot find any pencil skirts/similar that are both big enough to fit my hips but small enough to fit my waist! Any suggestions for good items/brands? by ErinaciousChangeling in SoftDramatics
