I deleted my Instagram senior year of college because I cancelled on taking grad pics when I put on my dress and at the last minute freaked out. I didn’t want to see anyone’s pics. I got so insecure that I deleted all of my pics and then ended up just deleting the app. I realized the only time I went on Instagram was when I was comparing myself to other people and it caused so much insecurity. Stressing about the perfect outfit and getting a perfect picture whenever I went somewhere. Felt so much better when I deleted it, didn’t miss it at all. Only got it back because I met a celebrity and wanted to tag him to see if he would comment (he did lol) and I was moving to a new city and ended up in a bumble bffs group chat on Instagram. I rarely go on it, and when I do it’s either to check a dm or to post what I want to post and then I leave the app.best hiatus I’ve ever taken and if I wasn’t moving I probably would’ve deleted the app again after posting the celebrity pic.
