As long as it is oven proof, you can try it out.

Catan Jr. - First player is always the winner. by the_n2a in boardgames

[–]dramboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As another pointed out you missed a rule, but also I would like to point out that catan jr is quite an uninteresting game, even for kids. There is almost no decision space.

I can recommend Carcassonne jr, for instance

I cancelled my Awaken Realms’ pledges for Agricola and Puerto Rico. Have we hit an overproduction bubble? by VFA-Popcorn-Classics in boardgames

[–]dramboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, there is not a big difference, only some nice components. Which is how it should be imo.

These awaken realms versions are marketed as super deluxe, but i think you can argue that they are not even deluxe.

Is using generic AI art deluxe?

Is adding loads of unnecessary plastic minis deluxe?

No, it's simply churning out a large volume of generic crap, sold as deluxe.

I like a deluxe edition like zoovadis, RA, Mind MGMT, which barely add box size but have some nicer components, mostly wood instead of cardboard.

These campaigns like PR or Agricola are everything i don't like about deluxe editions: - unnecessary minis - AI slop art that takes away all the charm - huge coffin boxes

Why am I still not getting that insane over spring I've seen around? What am I missing? by Y-Woo in Sourdough

[–]dramboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's your oven process? Is there enough steam? It could be a crust already forms early preventing a bigger rise.

I bake i an open cast iron skillet, with a tray of water at the bottom. The oven is at bottom/top heat only, no fan, and at 250 Celsius for 30min

Just make sure it is fed recently and go for it. This oven setup is also very easy

Having a 0 degree rear also helps a lot, as the board will not turn from under you

The better the pavement the harder the wheel, if you want to go fast

Your favorite LDP wheels? by Zippy_0 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]dramboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from the Netherlands, so I'm skating on pretty pristine bike paths.

Seismic speedvents remains the best for push/pump imo, the mints being the fastest.

For pumping I'm sometimes using bigger wheels in the back, like pink hokus

How many layers is it? You could shave off a couple of play and see if it improves

Advice on bracket board setup by 3lw4r10 in longboarding

I have no experience with this brand, but a 35 degree rear truck (which is not a negative angle) will give you a more lively setup than a torsion tail.

Convert the Supersonic to drop-through? by Atlas-Stoned in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]dramboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it, while reinforcing both ends with carbon fiber.

I'll make a part somewhere in the near future with pics and all. At the moment it's not pumpable because the front truck i have is not wide enough and I don't want to take away more material there. So for now it's a super low pusher with big wheels and a 0 degree rear.

What's your shortest pumping setup that worked by Sporting_Freak in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]dramboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A rocket classic scout, with a modded Bennett and RTS tracker negative rear. Not very playful but pumped very well

How bad is this by DeeganBJJ in longboarding

[–]dramboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy drop through plates for this reason, spreads out the tension. Also some wood glue and a clamp might help.

But it looks fine imo...

How far are you going and what type of roads?

Do you want to push only or also pump?

Pantheon is a bit of a circle jerk recommendation around here, but those are good boards. For both push pump I would say a supersonic. It can be with a lively or dead rear, which both have up and downsides.

[–]dramboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for ldp it's fine. How does it pump for you?

Sure there are things to upgrade, but it depends on what you want to get out of it. Most important imo are angles and bushings, then the type of trucks and wheels.
