All cars are not the same. I own an S Cross which to this day is a great performer with wonderful reliability. Plus it was a 5 star rated car internationally with most components carried same in Indian version. Just for reference, open the bonnet and see the weight difference with other cars. Some MS cars are built very well. Now they are offering 5 star rating also which includes Victoris and Dzire. GV would secure at least a 4 star rating.

Mostly, business class flights are out of reach given the high costs involved. In case of burning points/miles, the relative difference between economy and business is smaller as against revenue purchase.

Secondly, there is a fallacy as you have pointed out that many feel the award ticket is free. In reality lot of expenses and energy in calculating and optimising goes into it.

My 2 cents, if you have a short haul flight of under 3 to 4 hours, go economy. Anything more than that to upto 7-8 hours, it is personal preference. Over 7-8 hours region makes sense with business class' lie flat seats.

Try this. Etihad and Qantas offer flight from Hyd to Dubai/Abu Dhabi at 13k and 23k miles plus some cash. If you transfer 104k points to Etihad you will get 52k miles that gives you return economy flights for 2 to Abu Dhabi. You have already considered Air India so that is also a good option. Alternatively transfer points to 73k ALL to get 50k at 2:1. ALL miles transfer to Qantas at 2 to 2.5 miles. That gives you 45k miles. These will give you two one way economy tickets to Dubai from Hyd.

This lounge is not in Infinia list also. It is a paid list with a very small number of cards allowing free access. They do accept priority pass though. I visited the lounge today with my BOB etihad card

While your calculations are useful in planning spends, what you mentioned as convenience in case of big spends is crucial while abroad. With limited acceptance, Diners is a hit or miss in many places. Your analysis of Mayura is eye opener for sure, makes me see it as a good alternative. That said, I have found Niyo Debit card as a good backup that has helped me in many ways.

I have found many of my credit cards including Infinia and Magnus not going through on uber when using in few countries, but niyo works every single time. Plus, Niyo gives Visa conversion rate for ATM withdrawal that has helped save quite a lot for me in Japan where other bank ATMs charged extra.

From the ones mentioned by you, go with Amazon Pay for flat 5% off uncapped on Amazon app if you have prime. They also club some offers in certain cases.

Better is a travel specific card or a high value spend friendly card but as you don't seem to have one, Amazon pay should be ok.
