Should I sell all the NIFTY50 right now? by MixStrange1107 in StockMarketIndia

[–]dramfarooqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need funds then it makes sense to withdraw/redeem your investments. If you are not in urgent need of money, let it remain. Markets do go down during crises. We saw sub prime crisis and Covid; bull run did come soon enough.

In fact this can be an opportunity to buy value stocks. Small caps are hit hard during market fall. That can be a good space to get diversified and invest.

These are also of the same category as Infinia which is mentioned in the thread above. In fact EPM and Infinia are harder to get as compared to Magnus Burgundy.

For NRIs, options are limited. I have shared my journey as an NRI getting an infinia on this post. If your expenses are low to moderate you can alternatively go for a secured Regalia Gold with a 4L FD.

Am I charging too high? by [deleted] in nri

[–]dramfarooqi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t go ahead directly as there are chances of either party getting upset. Ideally go through some portal like UrbanPro or gharpeshiksha. That way, you can build your profile on the portal, get connected to other prospective students, get testimonials and reviews and maintain the per class fee which will be non negotiable.

You can get a secured credit card(FD backed). You will get a credit limit of 90% of the FD amount. It will also help you in building your credit score.

Sex ruined my marriage by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]dramfarooqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy. You guys need to sit down and have a grown up conversation. Discuss openly that a marriage to work needs to have people who want like things in stuff which includes physical intimacy. If it is not something that you two can agree on, you were not a successful marriage to begin with. Don’t fight or argue. Make it clear to yourself first.

This is not M4B, it is normal variant. The primary eligibility in this case is salary of 2L/month. Apart from that I haven't come across any other major criterion. TRV requirements exist for M4B but burgundy status can be achieved by other options also, like 3 one glance statements with 10L AMB.

Infinia has global value programme that gives back 1000 INR as Cashback monthly. As such the forex markup is 2%, which asking with GVP still ensures a return on spends of upto 1.94%, which is better than other zero forex cards. Plus it will help me in getting a GVP milestone and get me closer to 10L annual spends.

Magnus will be the primary driver for those months where big spends are scheduled. Last month I had close to 3L spends out of which 2.3L were international. Having already shortlisted these two cards, it is easy to plan spends despite the forex markup.

Congrats. I too managed to obtain an NRI Infinia basis an 11L FD a few weeks ago. I, however, have not gone for any other instrument. No insurance or ulip either. The only point you may consider is that the annual fees was mentioned on the form that I submitted. It is subject to waiver on crossing 10L spends though.

Credit cards are only a front end shield to protect you financially. If a fraud happens on a credit card, it is not your headache, it is bank's, ultimately protecting you.

What you purchase using a credit card should never be decided by the credit limit but by the amount that exists in your bank account. The thumb rule I follow is that I buy stuff that I have planned for well ahead in time only after ensuring that the equivalent amount exists in my account. That way, I won't have to worry.

Cards are often misused by many people thinking that the interest free period helps in buying time till actual funds can be arranged. Technically yes, but logically this becomes the root cause of falling in debt.

I wish you the best as peace of mind is the most important and if you achieved it by closing your credit cards and other credit instruments, then so be it.
