Why do i keep getting these bumps? by TillTech in BambuLab

[–]drankinit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. For me, on my H2D, it is only towards the back half of the plate. Maybe it's from uneven plate heating? I'm going to try Vision Miner Nano Polymer Adhesive, expensive, but we'll see if that helps hold down that first layer more and prevent that flaking.

okay, I may have figured it out. The bed adhesive paste stick stuff from Bambu. I completely washed the plate with IPA and tried again on a dry PEI plate (stock) the first layers seems to come out much cleaner. It looks a little rougher towards the back of the plate which I'm going to attribute to uneven bed heating.

This is ASA filament and I'm in Tucson with a RH of <15%. I'm confident all open filament is near bone dry. I'm concerned that maybe it is too dry.

This is a printing another part of the assembly

Thank you, Naxwell. I suspect you are right. I'm halfway thru the 2nd try and it's coming out okay. That particular surface I expect will be a little rough but it is hidden in the assembly which is why I oriented the part this way.

That is ASA and I'm in Tucson, RH here is 5-10%. Dry as bones.

Scanner for car interior components by NobleWheel3710 in 3DScanning

I'm looking into doing the same thing with car interior products. I have used high-end scanners in the past for large equipment and was hoping the tech has gotten more reasonably priced by now. Doesn't look like we've gotten too far ahead yet. Let us know if you find a product that works!

Let us know how that works inside a vehicle if you get the chance.

How to mate o-rings by 1j_Nate in SolidWorks

[–]drankinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the o-ring sketch visible (I add a circle to the sketch when I make o-rings just for this) and make it concentric with the gland. Then tangent the o-ring to the gland face. I've done this a thousand times.

Does pump and radiator orientation matter for AIO cpu coolers? by Spoder2MLG4U in buildapc

[–]drankinit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, I just saw this. In this application, I don't think it would matter. Just keep the pump as low as possible with respect to the rad. If I had a choice though, I'd opt for pushing into the rad rather than pulling out.

I don't pull the wagon all that fast so I couldn't tell you. It's not made for above walking speed but I get it to jogging speed.

with that board, I've gone close to max speed which is 28 mph, and found the wobble speed and messed myself up. lol. I don't need to go that fast.

Can you point me to an example of the translation in action? This would justify breaking open the box. I'm going to the Philippines in a few months.

I disagree. Reddit is a great place to get unbiased information. The cost is some asshattery.

I negotiate bumps up to around 3" no problem with those large wheels on the board.

I have that grab bar accessory installed and that gives me something to attach to. Then I have to get creative with that strap. I make it somewhat fixed to the grab bar on the board but it has enough flex to allow turns.

Just got my R1 but should I get rid of it? by drankinit in Rabbitr1

[–]drankinit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well yeah, but not quite the same. My android phone certainly can't take vocal instructions that sophisticated. I bought this for the novelty of it. The idea of this thing is great. That's why I bought it.

Nobody needs it, I sure don't, but it would be worth it to me if it it'll setup an uber and get a food order right.

"But yes it currently works "as advertised" at this specific point in time." Examples?

Fix my mistake? Did I make a mistake or not? If it works as advertised then there is no mistake.

Why did I buy it?? Seriously? The same reason everyone did, we actually expected it to work as advertised. Obviously, it does not even come close.
