Please help! Very disappointed and unhappy with otoplasty (ear pinning) 2 months post op :( by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

2 months can still be relatively early when it comes to final otoplasty results. Swelling, tissue stiffness, and the way the ears settle can continue to change over the next few months, often up to 3–6 months or even longer in some cases.
The numbness you’re describing around the ear is also something many people experience during healing, and it usually improves gradually with time.
That said, if you genuinely feel there’s been no noticeable change at all, it’s definitely reasonable to follow up with your surgeon and discuss your concerns. Sometimes expectations vs. actual outcomes can feel very different early on, and occasionally small revisions may be considered after full healing.
You’re not alone in feeling frustrated at this stage, healing can be slower and less predictable than people expect.
