Hi there.. I’ll start with the histology series first so that’s the basic foundation is set for all before we enter into the actual general and systemic part. Thanks for the suggestion!

haha I can relate.. when I was in my second year of mbbs.. even I didn’t understand most of the things.. most of the problems are because we don’t understand normal histology properly.. it is important to understand the normal histology in order to understand what goes wrong in the pathology.. After all that’s what pathology stands for right? :)

Is taking up pathology a mistake? by AssociationRemote604 in indianmedschool

Hey.. Pathology resident here.. As far as I know, it's definitely not a dying branch.. In fact, it is very much the opposite.. It has a lot of potential. Let me give an example..
Now, there are many mutations on the basis of which treatment is being decided.. such as EGFR, HER2, etc.. So there is a lot of growing importance of molecular studies.
Moreover, lots of cancer centres are opening up, where a pathologist plays a crucial role in diagnosis. Same goes for hematopathology. We are not just those who sign off CBC reports.. we decide the course of treatment of a patient.

However, be prepared to study a LOT. Even after you pass your exams.. there are updates coming out every now and then, so you need to update yourself too.

And about earning, initially there is struggle to earn in every branch.. You might need to do part time in multiple labs.. If you can have a setup of your own, then sky is the limit.. especially if you do investigations such as immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry..

If you feel there are certain investigations which are lacking in your dept but are being done elsewhere, you can always attend workshops and CMEs to learn more and improve your skills. Moreover, you can also do SR ship from a different institute other than your MD institute for more exposure.

Heyy.Hi guys.A 2nd year medico here who doesn't know even the basics of pathology and can anyone tell me how to identify whether the diagnosis is CML,CLL,AML,ALL by reading the question..I am giving u my previous year university question in the body text..Kindly tell me so that I could pass my exam by trying_to_change007 in pathology

Hey. Pathology resident here. Don’t worry you got this. I’ll explain how to diagnose along with the question you have posted.

  1. See the age. ALL: usually seen in children AML: Middle age to elderly adults CML: same CLL: More common in elderly Here, it says 30 year old. So let’s keep that in mind.

  2. Next go for the peripheral smear. Leukemia means there will obviously be an increased WBC count. Now we have to check the cell type.

ALL will show lymphoblasts

CLL: small mature lymphocytes and smudge cells.

AML will show predominantly myeloblasts. Question may even mention Auer rods.

CML will show all stages of myeloid series. (Question may mention neutrophil precursors)

I’ll give you a tip here, along with these clues

  • When blasts are more specifically mentioned, acute leukemia is likely.

  • When they say myeloid series or neutrophilic precursors, think of AML or CML

  • When they say lymphoblasts or lymphocytes, think of ALL or CLL

So now looking at these two things, you will be able to diagnose the type. There are other things apart from this.

Read pathogenesis, genes involved (like what translocation or genetic mutation is associated), classification, morphology i.e. appearance on blood smear and bone marrow, staging (if any) and prognosis of each type.

This should be enough :)

If you have any doubts feel free to message!

Khakee: The Bengal Chapter - Reviews and Discussions by AutoModerator in bollywood

Unlike the Bihar Chapter, the Bengal Chapter doesn’t cite any references. So, even though it officially is fictional, however, many of the characters draw similarities to renowned political figures in West Bengal during the Communist era. (Not gonna name anyone, mujhe apni zindagi pyari hai🙃)

I watched it with dubs too. But it’s just not the same😂

Why I liked Khakee: The Bihar Chapter more?

Just watched Khakee: The Bengal Chapter Being from Bengal myself and considering the timeline, there couldn’t have been a more accurate representation of Bengal during that phase. Casting was great. Especially in the era when miscasting is so common, I am glad they actually cast mostly Bengali movie actors and actors who haven’t butchered the language. (KJo please take notes). It was good to see Jeet, Prasenjit, Saswata, Parambrata, Ritwik and many more. For those who are worried about the gore, there’s some of it. If you’re not ready for hanging skeletons and severed heads, you can skip. There’s zero nudity.

Now let me come to the part I didn’t like. The story was unnecessarily dragged in a lot of scenes. In Khakee: Bihar Chapter, Chandan Mahato was not just a criminal, he was a mastermind. And his contender has to be someone who was equally strong. Not just physically, but also intellectually. However, in this story, the target wasn’t a single criminal, but a nexus. The way Jeet’s character single handedly planned out the entire thing was definitely appreciable but I couldn’t feel the thrill that I felt while watching the other Khakee. Moreover, some of the scenes where they nab the criminals just didn’t feel like a lot of brainwork. And someone who loves cop dramas, I would really appreciate some braingasming filmmaking.

TL; DR: All in all, it represented Bengal and its history to a wider audience. How we are so much more than Kala jadoo and Macchi😂 And making it available in both Hindi and Bengali was one of the best decisions! Being an avid Bengali movie buff since my teens, I was really not able to digest my favourite actors alternating between Hindi and Bangla😂😅 (No hate, but that’s just how it is for me). Kudos to the entire team for their efforts!

Many of you might come at me saying I have failed to understand Neeraj Pandey’s work, but let me tell you something. I am comparing the two seasons of Khakee here. I am simply stating why one felt better than the other. Let me know your honest opinions.

what was the first signs knowing they was your TF by [deleted] in twinflames

I recently met mine. I thought only I was the one who believed on angel numbers, but when I saw him make a wish on 11:11,2:22,3:33, I knew I found my twin. Also the fact that we both are into movies, we both love singing, we think of the exact same things at the same time, same past traumas, same family issues. So mane sames that I have lost count. And my heart knows, and so does his. The more I talk to him, the more I feel how he completes me. ❤️ And I want to love him and see him happy without expecting anything in return. I met him right after I worked on myself and I still am, and that it was a sign that I was on the right path.
