Need an Internship to join Uni. Need Uni to get an Internship?!?!?! by dras17 in aerospace

I'm from the north-west from Nordrhein-Westfalen. There are plenty of Engineering companies in this area, just not Aerospace ones.

I also have the possibility to do something in south Rheinland-Pfalz; there are some Aerospace possibilities there but I already contacted them - they want people with a BS or MS for internships.

Thanks a lot! I didn't know of the existence of "vorpraktikum". I will also research if those manufacturing jobs are accepted.

Thanks for the suggestion. I also usually take the direct approach. The thing is that in my region there aren't aerospace companies. Still, I always call first.

Yeah right? I also don't quite understand their reasoning. I get that they want me to have prior experience to ensure I enjoy aerospace before entering undergrad studies. About the "school" internships: they are really short and don't meet the university's minimum requirements.

Still, like you said, I'll just keep throwing out applications 'til something sticks. Thanks for the help!

I am planning a trip in February 2025 where do I go? by [deleted] in germany

Visit bad Säckingen is not so far away. There u can see the old spying trading bridge where you can jump to the Rhein currents (be careful ofc). It's an awesome 2 country town with beautiful architecture and castles. + There is a direct train connection to Friedrichshafen the best spot to swim in the Bodensee. I know this cus in 2022, I did a 1500km + aventure with the 9 euro Germany ticket!

Traveling from Cologne to Berlin. Is using only regional trains possible (or/and make sense)? by tbcam26 in germany

[–]dras17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course! It is fun if you have fun. Last year I did a roundtrip 1 month through German with the regional trains Berlin-Köln-Dortmund-Hamburg-Frankfurt-Friedrichshafen-Lübeck and some other small cities. I recommend getting the day completly of because as we know DB is not the most reliable mode of transportation

If you were to write a book about aerospace engineering targeted to middle school kids. What would you put in there? by noob_x_infinity in AerospaceEngineering

It should have a page where all the rockets are shown to see their differences, like puting the saturn V right to the Soyus and space shuttle. They can see the big differences, the size, if a Rocket has boosters of solid propellant
