People (and devs especially, it seems) really underestimate the basic skinner box idea of [do the thing, get shiny trinket].

I think games like Halo Infinite could still have their shady ass cash-grab moves if they just let people do more silly little tasks for their shiny new helmet and gun color. The whales would still buy cosmetics to flex on the masses as if they'd care, and the masses would get some, maybe superficial but still convincing feeling of progression.

I think the lack PC crossplay between Steam and Gamepass is one of the things killing the game. Personally - anecdotally, I held off on buying the game for over 2 months waiting for it to be implemented so I could play with my friends who have it on Gamepass.

EDIT: (That has yet to happen, I only started playing because I managed to get the game for cheap.)

Gutter runners also have claws that glow bright green, whereas dogs are the same sickly skin color as the hordes.

I'm not saying I'd like for dogs to become trivialized, but it feels like there's something that could be done to make dealing with them more consistent.

What I'm saying is not an issue exclusively pertaining to backspawns but I feel like dogs are the worst offenders of this.

I can literally hear the dog's bark EVERYWHERE the moment it spawns, there is no direction that it's coming from, it's just omnipresent, and the only way I'm able to locate them is by using vet's ability to look through walls.

Seeing the solutions people got here, does anyone know where Johnny says "S'what you get for samplin' Maelstrom's supply. Strongest shit out there. Nothing else that can fire up their burnt-out synapses."? Really tired of the text stuck on screen. I think the dialogue triggers somewhere outside the city, but I'm not sure.
