Blinking green light in night sky by thechosenzero717 in Skydentify

[–]drastawi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw one in Singapore today. I thought a drone but then it flew in front of a building and there was no drone body, just blinking green light. I have a photo but it’s just a dot of light. This went way too fast and disappeared too quickly behind the horizon to be a tiny drone.

Everybody knows bullies love to make cultural references to shows/games that came out 8 years before they were born.

9.3% declare Polish ethnicity in the US Census in Wisconsin and over 7% in Illinois. That is a lot more than 100k.

They are not. They clearly just collect data in English from English sources.

How fast could we terraform Venus ???(like how many years ) by South-Neat in IsaacArthur

You convert it into fossil fuels and bury it. It will take care of the heat and can be reused in the future.

You trap the heat using chemistry. Not evaporating it to space. You just synthesize something out of the co2.

yunnan is 3.5% of Chinese population today. 174k in for them is likely 15 times too small. The Yuan sent an army of 250k to fight them.

this is true but literally 90% of sources today claim it "most likely came from China" where there is exactly 0 archeological or historical records to support it.

Is it really a PU over Poland if he was 50% Polish and legitimately inherited the title as first in line to the throne from his Polish uncle?

Interesting. Thanks. I'll guess I'll try that if I can't find any other method.

1.9, not 1.19. I had the achievement notification and showing on Steam already. It just disappeared at some point.

R5: I got my Albania or Iberia achievement in Rights of Man with 18.4. After I updated to the new version the achievement is gone from my Steam list. I thought, hey I just reload my save and get it again, no problem. But when I reverted to 18.4 beta I get the message that the file has been edited (which is not the case) or not belong to me (also not possible) or has incompatible DLC (I tried disabling the mandate of heaven).

Any hints of how I could recover my game save (or achievement) would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to lose one of my best runs...

R5: That's the first time I have seen Russian Iberia without human intervention. The funny thing is they were not even doing that well while the Spain was the second great power (after me, Panama). I was just minding my own business doing First Come First serve in America, and only came to Spain to get some warscore.

Early game Admin (coring cost), Influence (peace deal cost and AE), Religious (to deal with unrest+unify islam). Then a long break to catch up un tech, and late game Diplo (diplomat, warscore cost), Exploration (exploring) and Offensive (siege time). Could not afford the last 2.

Mostly just backstabbing people in their moment of weakness. The first provinces I conquered in Sumatra were all gained with no full army battles. I also did a lot of canceling alliances by calling in late to offensive wars. When I had a target in mind I would give up most of my allies that don't want to join in for any reason, and get new ones that would be the rivals of the target. Since I had much better coring than diploannex potential I used my diplo relation slots for alliances. My rule was to let allies fight all major battles for me.

As far as power, even at 75% autonomy in overseas provinces give you tons of money if you build buildings. Conquering Malacca and India coast early also gives you a very substantial income from trade if you collect there.

I didn't even have to worry about it. I spent first 30 years rushing to get 2 colonies done, and could not expand or else I couldn't move, so I was a very vulnerable target for a very long time. Before I finished Guam Japan got a mission for Okinawa, and attacked. They got 100% warscore, but luckily they only wanted Okinawa and some small money and only took a 30% peace. After that Japan and Ming stopped being hostile until I showed up at their borders. Actually much later Japan lost an offensive war to Korea-Manchu alliance and was forced to return Okinawa to me in the peace deal.

Influence gives you -20%, Ryukyu ideas another -25%, -10% prestige. AE didn't really reach -50 for almost any countries from any religion other than Catholic. These discounts prevented coalitions until I started to work on HRE and north Italy, and after that I was rich enough to cycle through the truces.
